Hello dakkadakka, i have been a member of dakka for a few years now, and i havent had any commissions for a while, but this is one that i just wanted to share....
this is a commission for a fellow dakka member named felixcat,
this commission is supposed to start in two weeks for an army of flesh tearers.
i have just started working on a few simple sample models.
this is not as good as im going to give to him, they will be better,
i had to speed through this, cause i had somewhere to be that day... but oh well...

Just got home from school so now for yet another update.
just a mini canvas painting i did for a friend who's an enormous fan of dr. who.
and a sanguinary guard i'm working on,
i still gotta do the gun, part of the arm, the jewels, the base, and the chest emblem.
...oh yeah, and fix the wings, i hate those things with a deep, searing passion.
forgive me for the blurry backpack, i sneezed and didnt feel like taking another pic.

I think you need to convert one of the many doctors to antagonize your dalek there.

i gotta finish the base with a stain and sealer.
and also touch up on the jump pack.
and also later today, when i get batterys i shall post my other project, a FW renegade ogryn.

just got back from lacrosse practice and saw that my deposit for the flesh tearers commission came in the mail, which included
1 NIB dreadknight
10 grey knight crusaders
1 painted cortez
1 castelan crowe
and $150
i think this has been a good day...
update with pics in a few minutes when my camera batteries are done charging.
time to go drink my bargs root beer and wait.

well... i now have to postpone the renegade ogryn, to bring an update of the commission of flesh tearers.
here is what i just received in the mail.
2 x10 flesh tearers shoulder pads
2 dev squads
1 assault squad
and some paint.

now i can get started.
so here are the parts lined up for the minis

well i went back and fixed the things that the commissioner wanted to be fixed.
and i primed them, and started painting the dev squad sarg.
The biggest fix(easy) was making a terminator lightning claw fit a regular shoulder pad. lol
so just let me know what you think.

well..... really no posts yet? i thought this might be a little easier than this.
but back to my update.
i got some more work done on one of the dev squads.
im trying to just get the main armor and main shading done first then go back and do all the little details lastly.
first up is the basecoat of red, and second, all the changes i had to make for the commissioners point list.

I think that the new poses are looking good, just remember: Mold lines

yeah, the funny thing is i just realised that right before you posted that... and i cant believe i just made a stupid mistake like that. thank you.
well, well i managed to get no further progress made on them so i feel pathetic.

its taken a little time for me to paint these little buggers, i got a back injury from lacrosse so i kinda stopped for a few days...
but im back up and working again, at a slower pace.
like they say, slow and steady wins the race.
my adhd got ahold of me as soon as i started painting, and then i started a different project, and im trying to get back on track

and i have an update on the gks and the flesh tearers,
but i dont have pics of the flesh tearers....
so here are a few pics of the gks,
and the fw dread is just pinned and i will need to strip all of these cause they were painted several years ago,
plus the gk terminators are stand ins as gk terminators, they are the aobr one that have been converted. lol
so here they are and the exhaust for the dread is distorted so i am awaiting a replacement.

Well i have an update, but i dont have pics at the moment, but will have them up later this afternoon...
i have exams this week so my work is gonna be a little slower,
but i have one squad down and i've started on the assault squad which is gonna be a blast.
just kidding space marines never get old.

Well finished exams so i can get a start back on the commission and meanwhile, i took 1st and 3rd in in school art competition. so that was nice...
Wish i could have done a wee bit better. but what can you do?...
so i know i said id get an update up but i didnt... i shall try to get one up tomorrow.

Ok, here's that update that I've been saying i would but up.
First i have one squad almost completely finished,
and i have another one almost all basecoated, which is sadly the hardest part.
no that exams are out of the way and i have seen Hunger Games, my schedule is now clear and i can get back to this commission.
Plus i got new soccer cleats!
so now that im happy,
