I'm sure people are looking for ways to magnetize their Tervigon/Tyrannofex Kit. It's only been a day, but I excitedly put together and fully magnetized my Tervigon and Tyrannofex and snapped some pictures. This mini-tutorial isn't as comprehensive as it could be, but it the general idea is there.

Note that, for my own preferences, I used a custom base cut from Plexiglas. I just enjoy the weight more.
Additionally, I used the Fleshborer Hive on my Tervigon as the 'main' Scything Talons and bits-box'd the actual Talons and Claws. Magnetizing the Scything Talons and Crushing Claws is rather basic and follows the same concept as the other singular arms.

Materials and Tools used:
- Tervigon/Trygon Kit
- Standard Knife, Pliers, Glue, etc
- Dremel with a flat 1/8" metal bit
- 'Large' Disc Magnets - 3/8" diameter by 1/32" thick
- 'Small' Disc Magnets - 1/8" diameter by 1/31" thick
- A permanent market for putting marks on Magnets (optional, but this helps with polarity).
- Epoxy Putty (I used Billy Mays's Mighty Putty)

I buy my magnets here:
http://www.kjmagnetics.com/products.asp?cat=10

I used Plastic Cement to bind plastic-plastic.
I used cheap Walmart superglue for all other bonds (especially plastic-magnet).

One caveat: When dealing with magnets in such close proximity with one another, glue them one at a time and let the glue set before going onto the next magnet. Else you may have the magnetic pull tear adjacent magnets from their original spot and you'll get two magnets glued together. It becomes a nightmare.

Firstly, all the pieces were assembled as per the instructions:
- The Tervigon Body, Tail, and Legs as one unit.
- The Front two 'spike' legs were not attached yet to make cutting easier. If you attached them, no biggie.
- The Fleshborer Hive, Rupture Cannon, and Acid Spray all assembled
- The two halves of the Tervigon Sac had Termagants attached but not glued together
- The six Tyrannofex chest spikes were not attached because they get in the way of the Tervigon Sac
- The two heads were assembled

Picture of all the parts assembled:

Within the chest, the six holes where the Tyrannofex's chest talons go was drilled in such that 1.5 magnets fit. You can see the dremel bit I used in the image below along with the final result after gluing in the magnets. Do this for both sides. Take special note regarding the magnets' polarities. I try to ensure all magnets on one side of ALL my Tyranid models have the same polarity pointing out and the other side has the opposite polarity. All magnets used are the 1/8" diameter magnets. They fit excellently.

As you can see here, I mark, with an "X", the side of the magnet that needs to meet the glue to ensure the polarity is correct. After the chest-magnets have completely dried and set, I placed an additional magnet on each magnet glued to the chest. Then, I applied blobs of Epoxy Putty to the inside of the Tervigon Sacs and dry-fit the plates one-at-a-time onto the main body. The point here is to leave an impression in the putty of the two magnets.

When the putty dries, glue the magnets to the impression on the putty. Keep in mind the polarity.
Also, I cut chunks out of the Tyrannofex chest talons and placed magnets on them as well.
The results of all this can be seen in the pieces above.

The arms were magnetized as you would magnetize any other plastic Tyranid. Cut slices out of the arm at the desired angle and glue on a magnet. I used 3/16" diameter magnets for this. The Rupture Cannon ended up a bit too heavy, and the cannon kept slipping down, but didn't fall off.

Final results:

Tervigon (I used the Fleshborer hive here because I think it looks better. Feel free to use the proper Talons):

Tyrannofex (note the chest spines):

A size comparison because someone wanted it:

I'm no pro, but what I did seemed to have worked out fine.
If there's any questions, I'll gladly answer them or take pictures from different angles, etc.

This is exactly what I was looking for! Awesome work

Looks like I may have some magnets to get...

Downward the [dice] fall, then nimbly leaping upward,
They overpower the man with hands, though handless.
Cast on the board like magic bits of charcoal.
Though cold themselves, they burn the heart to ashes.
