Hi everyone.

I'm new here and new to the hobby. I've only just painted 20 Dark Elf Warriors with Spears and 10 with Shields. And a Dreadlord from Avatars of War.
My army paint scheme is Enchanted Blue, Boltgun Metal, Chaos Black and Shining Gold...

Now I need help to pick colours for my Dark Elf Corsairs... The one I painted up just.. looks wrong.. I still want the Enchanted Blue in there because thats my main army colour..

Any tips & hints?

We need a bit more information man.... and some pics ideally

How are you using your colours? Which are you using for cloth, weapons, armour etc....

It is a good idea to have one colour to tie all the units in your army together: Such as using the same colour for all your helmets/shields/cloth. Unless you give us a bit more of an idea about how you are using your colours, we can't really do more than give you general advice :S

I don't have any images on my warriors.. and here is my dreadlord

I'm using the enchanted blue for the cloth parts, and some details here and there. Most of it is mostly boltgun/chainmail on the armour.

Here is my Black Ark Corsair Reaver.. Its sort of my test figure for my black ark corsairs.. but I'm not liking it, and I'm lost how I should change the colours...

It's the amount of gold on the helmet that's out of place against the rest of the dark colors. Use the gold more sparingly, just for details.

Why are we suddenly commenting on a 8 year old post?

Hopefully his painting has improved by now.

It looks like the guy who resurrected the thread is a spammer.
