I've distracted myself from Ultras for a while with some GKs. Overall I'm pleased, but I'm just not getting the look I want on the armor. Each of these three had the armor painted using different techniques, but I still haven't hit the nail on the head. Maybe I'm just being a little too critical for a table top army.

I prefer drilled barrels, but besides that these guys look very good, nice and clean look. What issues are you having witht them?

I agree with drilled barrels, and it's a lot of little details like that which I've started to work on. There's also a mold line that I missed, and normaly I'm careful about that.

As far as issues, I'm just not getting the blue tint to the armor to come out exactly as I see it in my minds eye. It's frustrating me a little, but if I can't get it, I can live with these guys.

These guys are very well painted, lovely techniques!!!

My only issue isn't with the painting, just that all GK armies look the same, little individuality.

Can't flaw the painting though, wish I was this good (pretty power weapons!).

Over all I really like these. Great force weapons and blends on the metals. I agree about the blue though. I think It may be too bright a blue. Wish I could tell you how to get what you had in mind, but I'll leave that up to folks that are way better painters than me.

Thank you. I still have two more of these guys, Draigo and a Dreadknight to paint. I'd hoped it would only take a couple guys to get the look down, but it ain't there yet. I've also started practicing lightning on spare power swords and such, and when I get that down, I'll add it to these guy's force halberds.
