I found this sweet little gun while browsing, but Im not sure about it, has anyone had any experience with this scale, and kit? also, would you accept it in a game?

Well 1/35 scale will be pretty big when put next to 28mm figures so it probably wouldn't be good to use as a basilisk proxy. If you can find it in 1/48 scale then it will be as close to the right size as you can get. As it is the Long Tom will look like a massive siege gun when you put it next to your guard.

Depends on which time period the 1/35 is from.
WW2 can be pretty on the money - depending on the tank.
Hummel in 1/35 is not much larger than a basilisk.
Matildas aren't much bigger than a chimera.
M3 and M4 (Grant and Sherman) tanks are the width of a Leman Russ and about an inch and a bit longer (tracks ARE the same width, though).
Konigstigers are HUGE and don't work.

Here are comparative dimensions of a variety of 40K, 1/35 and 1/48 scale models.
http://www.dakkadakka.com/wiki/en/Scale_Model_Kits_for_40K
Basically 40K models are the width of 1/35 and the length of 1/48 so they are not properly compatible with either scale. Well done, GW.
The choice of scale depends partly on individual taste. I use 1/35 because I like the large size compared to 40K figures. It matches the gigantism seen in the guns, etc. Heroic scale proportions, if you like. Also there is a much wider range of vehicles available.
That said, the range of 1/48 is constantly increasing as it has become a popular scale for modellers.
To address the original question;
I have a Britains die-cast Long Tom howitzer model in 1/32 scale. It's well over a foot long when deployed.
Your plastic kit would be a superb model for an emplacement, but it's probably too large and delicate for regular tabletop use.
I would suggest a WW2 self propelled gun built on a medium tank chassis.
For example: Dicker Max, M7 Priest, Valentine Archer, etc.

1:35th is wonky... the smaller 1/35 scales are pertty good, so things like a hetzer tank mesh great. I just did a quick check, so I can't say for sure whether or not the given model will work.

Okay, Maybe I'm not looking at this in the same light as the others. You wanna use this as a Basi substitute? Well its a big gun. The Basi is a big gun. Hmmmm. OK.
You may want look at the IA Armour Update and have a look over the Earthshaker Plateform rules instead. Same weapon system, immobile unless towed. Less armour as well. I think thats more fitting for the model you are looking at.

I honestly would'nt be too concerned. Look long enough on Dakka and you'll always find some gaurd or Ork player who is using a German King Tiger or Panther, or U.S. Sherman. It works out, I suppose.
Still your model is better becaues there is plenty of conversion work you can do to make it all fit. I guess my only question is weather or not the tow brackets would line up with your Centaurs? Either way, IG bits and armour and a bit of good planning and prep an dI think it'll be a good kit.

Depends on how big you want it. That one you posted is 6.1in (155mm). This one is 8in (203mm):
http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/reviews/vehicles/trumpeter/tr02307.html
If you want some bigger ones, there are a lot of railway guns like Leopold and (if you absolutely must have the biggest thing on the board) the Schwerer Gustav. They were 11in and 31in (280mm and 800mm):
http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/reviews/vehicles/trumpeter/tr00207.htm
http://www.armorama.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=SquawkBox&file=index&req=viewtopic&topic_id=184453
There is also the Karl mortar (21in/540mm), which looks like it hurts:
http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/reviews/vehicles/dragon/dr6181.htm
Most of these will cost a fair amount though (especially Gustav).

I like that too, but it's not self propelled. I kind of decided that Self propelled would make more sense for a city fight army.

The model kit of the Karl Morser is about 65 GBP. It's about 14 inches long.
The Karl Morser was carried to its emplacement by railway, then moved short distances on its tracks for accurate positioning. For 40K of course you can just say it is an SPG. I have one of them which I am going to build as a huge SPG.
There is a railway gun kit which is probably the largest polystyrene model kit ever made.

To put another perspective on this, a 1/35th Leopard II was much more akin to a baneblade in terms of size than a anything else. It's still small for a baneblade, but then other 1/35ths, like a panzer II or a Hetzer will be near enough or spot on for scale to the regular tanks.

Damn, that sucker is big. I guess we all should be thankful it isn't built to 1/4 scale. I'd use that as more of a fortress worlds main gun. Considering the size of that thing. I have an other kit in mind actually as a basilask or griffin stand in. The M110. A 203mm self propelled howitzer that was in service from 1964 to 1991.

If you just want cheap artillery, have a look at Toy Soldiers Depot, or Classic Toy Soldiers websites, both do 1/32 (ish) scale 105mm and 88mm guns, that fit ok with 40k figures. ( some pics in my gallery, go see) . All in plastic and designed for kids, so fairly robust.
Bigger, look on ebay for Britains diecast: they do the Long Tom, as well as towed 8", 7.2" howitzers, and others, which are sufficiently bulky and rivetty for 40 k. Big and, being metal, heavy, so safe for frequent use without bits falling off.
I use all these in a gunline at rear of the gaming table; using the stats for basilisk, medusa and colossus, not to mention griffons and "ordinary" IG mortars, you create a kill zone a couple of feet deep.
