Hi, I have recently decided to start painting my space wolves as the new citadel paints make it easier to paint the majority of the model. If you can think of a way to paint certain parts that i haven't filled in or improve the ones that i have by using the new paint names that would be great, i am looking for a quick and easy way to paint my space wolves with them looking half decent so no advanced techniques or anything.

Cheers.

If you can find the paint conversion chart I can tell you what paints I use and mix to get that sort of look

Dunno, but IMO nothing beats quickshade dipping offered by the Army Painter for power armor, metalics, flesh and shading. After that remaining details are quite quick to catch up. If You are interested in this, let me know, but this technique is quite different from what You have apparently chosen.

Looking to trade away 15mm Forged in Battle Pumas (still in the box).

If you want to use the new GW paints, the latest White Dwarf has a step-by-step Space Wolf painting guide using the new range.

Edit: Extracting the needed colours from the below linked pic by Living Still, here's the new GW colours for an 'official' SW scheme, in the order they suggest to use them:

Armour:
BASE The Fang
SHADE Nuln Oil
LAYER Russ Grey
LAYER Fenrisian Grey

Yellow Shoulder Pad:
BASE Averland Sunset
SHADE Seraphim Sepia
LAYER Yriel Yellow
LAYER Flash Gitz Yellow

Golden Parts (eg Hammer):
BASE Balthasar Gold
SHADE Agrax Earthshade
LAYER Gehennas Gold
LAYER Runefang Steel (or is this a DRY paint? Who knows)

The space wolf blog has several (two really good ones) how-to guides: http://space-wolves-grey.blogspot.com/2012/03/painting-space-wolves-space-marines.html

As mentioned by Beware, white dwarf also published an article on painting the cavalry along with the riders. Here is a pic of the new colors recommended by GW: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-j9dHhHKJK7k/T2-5iPyfdrI/AAAAAAAAA78/t33FzFr55ck/s320/space+wolf+paint.jpg . The pic is huge that's why I didn't clip it in.

Hope this helps.

May the WAAC and pretzels be with you.
