so taking a quick brake from making my little space marines, I thought it was time to make something a little less horrific

Wow, that is actually very nice! A long time fan of Silent Hill, I say this does it justice. A glossy, brown and red splattered paintjob reminiscent of Silent Hill 2 would be spot on.

The robes turned out quite nicely, reminiscent of the Silent Hill movie.

I do like this model, instantly recognizeable as Red Pyramid, however if i had to make a critique, it would be the blade is too clean. Try griming it up, but perhaps that might not be your intentions to make it look like so.

Whether you do such or not, it is a very nice model. Message me when the necromunda blog is up, will like to see it.

Perhaps consider mixing two randomly selected colours between three washes- brown, red, and black, and after one layer drys, add another as done before, to create a layering pattern. An idea, just my 2 cents for what it's worth.

Also, is that just blood red with gloss on it? It (the blood)seems there is more to it. Mind telling what the recipe was?

not at all, the bloods the old red ink with a bit of watered down scorched brown on top then some gloss
