I second thesilverback's comments. I would really recommend posting these to dakka and putting them in the actual post.

Like so.

I think the heads are good but look a bit small on a big suit of power armor. Although, it does lend the idea that the suit is a lot thicker and more protective than normally shown. Some of the weapon conversions look a bit rough and could be tightened up. I would also agree that some of the necks are a bit extended.

Also, did you intend the armor to be textured like that?

Squad pic:

They aren't bad, but they look like fem-marines and not SoB.

I think if the heads were further down in the chest piece, they would look much better. Where did you get the heads btw?

Armor to be textured like that?
I sprayed to much Tamiya TS-80 Flat Clear on. Luckily, i think it turned out great, looks more like a used battle suit.

Martha Stewart marines....Dope!!

I really do picture them more this way in my head when i read fluff/BL. Its hard to picture the real sisters for some reason when i read.

Aha, that would do it.

Sorry, I'm not feeling it. They look like they've got overly long necks and it's not helped by the fact the original removal of the heads looks like a bit of a hack job. Get rid of more of the original head and it'll improve them dramatically from an objective standpoint. Subjectively I still am not a fan of the conversion regardless of what is done, SOB's made from SM make them look like a whole army of Brienne from GOT, if that's the look you're going for then more power to you, but the concept falls flat with me.

Sorry.

Thanks for all the feedback people. I appreciate your opinions, useful info.
But it was a cheap and funny way to get hold of some female SM.

Those appear to be 2nd Edition Boxed set figs if I'm not mistaken. I'd say I haven't seen those in a while, but I have some of them still floating around in my collection too, lol.

I agree with the sentiments that some of the necks look too long. Would help to have hollowed out the collar area a bit more before insetting the new heads. As far as the bulkiness of the models, I guess that's personal preference. In a way, I like it better than the silly form-fitting S&M lingerie power armor the Sisters are currently modeled in, but I'm just not feeling it. It makes them just look like female Space Marines, not Sororitas.

Still, looks like you had fun converting them none-the less. And since I've been looking at getting some of those heads for some conversions I have planned down the road, I always like to see pictures of them in actual use.

re: making them look more sister-like- hoods? Not included on the current models i know, but it's stated in James Swallow's books that their robes are designed as such. Depends whether you feel like the green stuffing...

Also, is it just me or does the first one look remarkably like Buffy?

A female head on a space marine body is a nice idea, but it doesn't look right. The proportions are all wrong. I have 2 very simple suggestions that, I think, will make them a lot better.
1. Remove the shoulder pads
2. Replace giant bolter with smaller IG guns.
Not a perfect solution, but I think it will give the models a more slender feminine feel.

Fantastic use of those oh so crappy 2nd ed marines. They look like women in power armour instead of sexy nuns in bondage armour. Great work.

I like them.

And while people may say they seem out of proportion. The truth is that Space Marine models themselves have always been out of proportion.
