Beautiful paint job.
If this is the metal version, any tip on prepping metal? Yours look so smooth. I don't see pits or imperfections at all.

Very nice. Do you remember how you did the parchment scroll at the front?

It is the metal version. It had very few pits on it and removing the flash was not difficult. To prep, I just knifed away the flash, filed/sanded down any bumps and used a toothbrush with either dish washing soap or engine degreaser to clean it up. If there was some pits I would either use small amounts of greenstuff to fill or cover it up with purity seals or some other bit. That would be according to where the flaw was located. I have not had many true flaws with the metals. Maybe, about 10% of the time there would be a problem. Not like the new resin stuff, which seems to have an 80% flaw rate from what I have worked with so far. Automatically Appended Next Post: Charles Rampant wrote:Very nice. Primed black, Based in Snakebite Leather, then Vomit Brown, first highlight with Bleached Bone, final highlight with White, go back with a little bit of Gyrphonne Sepia or Devlan Mud.
I do not know what the equivalent colors from the new range would be.

@MiniPainterDMan89: Thank you for the reply Battle Brother
Good thing I purchased the metal version of the Legion of the Damned Squad because I just found out that they're now Finecast T_T
I also ordered the Vostroyans just in case GW converts them to Finecast in the future.
Again, good work on the Chaplain. He reminds me of the Chaplain in the Ultramarines movie

Primed black, Based coated with Shining Gold, several layers. A few coats of Devlan Mud. Go back with some Shining Gold. First highlight with Burnished Gold. Second highlight with 50/50 mix Burnished Gold /Mithril Silver.
No drybrushing.

I like this model.
I like the small converted bits.
I like the paintjob, almost cartoony.
What's not to like?
