Some of the guys who regularly show up at Myriad on Tuesdays or Thursday nights have and play some 40k lately. Tuesday nights is technically a club-only night for a specific local club, but they allow folks to hang out as a guest for a visit to check it out an decide if you might want to join the club.

Myriad's a good store; it's a little bit small and doesn't have as much terrain as it should to support multiple tables, but otherwise is solid.

I could get some games in at Myriad.

The only army I have ready is Blood Angels and they aren't quite finished. So there would be some grey and glue in there.

I can play any day of the week until about 7:30pm then it's off to work.

I'd love to get a game in this weekend.

Saturday is usually fine for me but I have to admit I'm terribly forgetful.

Just PM me a bunch of time thursday and friday as a reminder.

Also, Myriad is a great store but as far as gaming... They tend to favor vets so if there is a bunch of people doing something they won't let you play.

If that is the case we can hop in my ride and make the 12 minute journey to the Game Castle in Londonderry.

There is only one problem I have with Game Castle... They know me there and I haven't played in over a year. So I more than likely will be bothered by folks at every turn.

"Hey man, how are your Ultras doing?"

"Did you read these rules?"

"Where have you been?"

"Lookat my new model!"

And of course there's always TFG who just sits there and comments on everything you do... Even when you say "Shut up, go away." several dozen times.

Ha, yea i went there last weekend and met two guys that i enjoyed talking to and hanging with but other than that the rest of them seemed REALLY clicky and elitist...There was a few mouthbreathers in the crowd too lol. I was wearing a flat brim hat and a ripped iron maiden shirt and i could tell a lot of them were judging me as some sort of punk/ moron. It was kinda odd especially since most of them have been to my old FLGS(Jetpack comics, Rochester N.H) before for tournaments..... when they were at my former home turf they were friendly and outgoing.... last weekend they were just about the opposite. I did not feel welcome. In fact i felt unwanted.... now that my sob stories done im hoping to make myriad my new FLGS..... Id be down to play at either place tho, game castle has some awesome tables! Il PM spam you on thursday+Friday

On the plus side, Myriad has opened up Tuesday nights and they are not specifically a club night anymore. Tues and Thurs are both fully open to all.

They do have several battle mats to roll out over tables, and some decent (but limited) terrain. Usually it's more or less first-come, first-served for the tables, and some nights are busy, but I've found the staff are usually really helpful about setting up a table for you if there's space but tables aren't currently in the right configuration to support a minis game. In my experience they are also open to taking reservations, at least for early in the evening- if you know you're meeting someone for a game at a particular time, you can call ahead and (staff permitting) they'll set up a table for you (IIRC they even put a little "reserved" sign on it). Obviously you don't want to be late if you do this; they can't leave a table locked up and empty for an hour if they're busy, but it's still pretty nice.

Some of the GC guys can be a little standoffish, which is a bummer. Right now only a few of us at the store have really jumped into 6th with both feet. A bunch of other guys are playing more Warmahordes and stuff. We did just start a 1750pt league, though, so if your schedule permits and you want regular games, you might consider signing up for that.

Always glad to help a local gamer!

The league's at the Castle. I think about six or eight of us are presently signed up. I've gotten in two games so far, against Eldar and Sisters of Battle. Both had IG allies, amusingly enough. Right now I'm running straight Blood Angels, but the league allows you to switch your list once any time before your 4th game, so I might change up and throw in some Eldar or Necrons as allies.

If you want to get a game in tomorrow (friday the 10th) I can make it.

You said you can be there around 1:30? I can be there no problem. I'm right on Hanover Street so it's like 8 minutes away.

Oh yeah. How many points?

Funny you should say that. I do have a Stormraven. However it's what brings my available models to 1750 points.

Do the fact that is my friends army (I'm painting it for him) I have a set list ofmodels and in truth I can't really drop anything without crippling the list.

Think we could beef it up to 1750?

Sure i dont mind as long as you have time for a longer than usual learning 6th ed type of game. Still a bit hazy on certain rules, missions, deployments, etc

Im interested to see how the BA do in 6th also because ive really been considering allying with them once i buy the models.
