OK, so several interesting opportunities in the new rules for my DeffWing. The list probably won't change much, though there's two versions, one with a single FOC, and one with two.

First one:

The Eastern Fringe

Unless 6th edition changed this, you'll NEED multitrackers on almost all suits if you want to fire both their weapons each turn. The only time you wont need mulltitrackers is if your suit has a single twin link weapon system.

Also, you only need one model in the unit with a blacksun filter for them to all benefit from it, so it is better to take a team leader with hard-wired and then going for targetting arrays or multi-trackers.

Had a few new ideas for the support side of things, which a DeffWing lacks in.

As a purist, I'd like to avoid anything that isn't a 2+ save or a battlewagon (or something similar).

Here's a couple of lists with the FW Armoured Battlegroup as allies.

Would Demolishers/standard Russes work better?

2k version would be 3 units of six megaobs in wagons and an additional vanquisher.
Or maybe stick with the two units of meganobs and just take 5 tanks?
