Heres the ork project log to the fluff http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/0/470624.page#4665868
Try not to be to mad at the grammer, i have proofed read this. If you find mistakes point them out i wont be offended.
The winds blew around carrying large soft freezing cold snow. Dark black factory smoke bloomed into the grey clouds of the sky nearly blocking out the sun. Snow covered the land softly making all appear peaceful and enchanted by the wild nature of the frost. Dispite the darkness, their was a even deeper and darker hidden truth. A truth once spoken by the Emperor. The machine god, the Emperor, the chaos gods all of them have existance. These thoughts rolled around for hours and after hours, days, years a conclusion was met. Inquistor Edarmoc, came to the conclusion a conclusion that he spoke loudly in a deep dark room of the grand place fortress Immobile Will.
"If there is one thing i know. . . gods don't exist." The Inquistor said this coldly to Emperor Urisk. The council chamber sat quitely not so much as a squeak from a mouse. The Emperor leveled his gazed at Edarmoc.
"Edarmoc. What is your job?!" the bold voice echoed through the auditorium, even the stone statues of heros seemed to shelter from his voice. Edarmoc tremibled and shook from this confrontation. He was a book worm not a field agent.
"To protect the Emperor, and the people of the Imperium from agents of chaos and her-her-heresy..."
"You are treading on a difficult path, choose carelessly and your life will be forfeit" Edarmoc walked around the council room slowly. He pulled out a book of laws for Volra. The booked was huge, thick, and bound in adamantium casing. The writing on it was old, and the carving on it long since filled with dust, grime and dirt. On the front cover he wiped it off with his perfect white robe, staining the robe brown and black.
"After looking for the past ten years in the library of truth... deep in its basement of records sits many books like this from the 31st millennium." He let time sit in, still everyone was quite. "The title reads Imperial Truth. . ." The Urisk obiviously growing annouyed at the suspence shouted
"Out with it Edarmoc!"
"This book says, do not worship the Emperor as a god, and do not believe in gods believe in science and technology." The adeptus mechanicus sect in the council leaned in. Their glowing red eyes seemed to glare directly into Edarmoc. Edarmoc knew that the mechanicus would see eye to eye with what he was doing, and it was Seanic who said he would help him escape if the situation grew dire. The Emperor leaned back into his chair. The golden alloy armor hulk relaxed. Still no one spoke, and all was silent. Finally Urisk stood from his throne, and walked down the steps. The near earthshaking clank of his walk drew the attention of the chamber. Chaos amongst the ranks would have broken at any second. Hands were moving for their fire arms. The adeptus mechanicus knew what was coming and were ready, guns loaded and primed. If not the Emperor stepping down and having deafing steps a fire fight could of insued. While the peace was maintained. The tension could have been cut with a knife.
"Inquistor. What you say is common belief hersey, but you are saying other wise." The Urisk gazed followed the crowd knowning that on a pin drop this could become a blood bath.
"It is not hersey, but it doesnt align with the common belief, because we have been fed lies.." The inquistor watched the Urisk place his hand on his side arm and sword. The inquistor repeated the action under his robe.
A robotic voice broke the scilence "What is your proof inquistor?" The inquistor flipped to historical data records long since classifed and attempted be removed from the archives.
"Here the Emperor punishes his sons for creating the book which made him look like a god, and here again the Emperor encourages xenos tolerance and science." The Inquistor said delightfully.
"These records are a lie! and a Outrage!!!" yelled a nobel in the crowd.
"SCILENCE IN MY ROOM!" the Urisk bellowed.
"You are a hertic for even allowing such mocery of data be shown defacing the god emperor." The nobel continued. The priming of a bolt pistol rang through the crowd. Steel slid and rang a crisp sound as it was drawn from its scabbard.
"You will shut your mouth and listen to your king or face judgement in the realm of the god emperor." Commisar Maximillian Zan said coldly wide eyed with his bolt pistol placed to the nobels head. His eyes looked themselves hungry for blood and rang with insanity.
"Your notes would prove correct to the adeptus mechanicus. We have a schism about the Emperor, is he our messiah or is he different. we believe he is different." The expressionless machine men spoke equally and quitely making sure the crowd and peace was maintained. Further evidence was brought to the table by the mechanicus.
"You see your lord Emperor Urisk... their is much proof to my claims." The inquistor said. Urisk turned and glanced the crowd, many of the common nobel men where rithing with anger and outrage, but the evidence spoke for itself. Even past encounters with the mighty Adaptus Astartes have taught him that they viewed the Emperor not as a god.
"By decree of your Emperor I- Urisk - state that the Emperor is no longer a god and we will follow the imperial truth! That we are going to rebel from the common imperial ideals and move outwards to bring back the true Emperor in his name!" A bolt pistol fired off.
"How dare you dogs point your guns at your king!" The inquistor took a gander. The left side of the chamber had adaptus mechanicus armed with Seanic weilding dual plasma and the rest holding heavy bolters, lascannons, flame throwers, and a wide arrage of rifles. The right side had Imperial guard commanders with power swords, bolt pistols, las pistols and hot shot lasguns drawn and the smoking pistol of Commisar Maximillian. At closer look the nobels and commanders were aiming at Urisk and Edarmoc. The adeptus mechanicus were aiming at the nobels and generals. The Emperor smiled.
"i have been waiting for you to make good on your promise Inquistor...thank you."

The Chamber Part II - Fearless
"This heresy will be put down in the name of Volra!!!" The nobels and generals rallied. Commisar Maximillian turned directly standing and stairing down a hundred pistols and swords. The hum of power swords echoed along with the chatter of chainsaw swords starting. Maximillian stood infront of the entire group his eyes like the cannons of a leman russ battle tank. Not a single one capable of making eye contact.
"You will stand down in front of your Emperor Urisk and respect his athority!" Maximillian spoke with deafing and shrieking verbal muster only a harden veteran could have used. The nobels had their vains poping. The clank of robotic hydrolics sounded the move of tech priests. The priests moved in closer to Urisk and Inquistor.
"General Max would your troops follow me, Gregorian, into war against the king?" said Gregorian in a modest peacful tone.
"Gregorian..." Max's throat caughed and cleared " I would be willing, and my men be willing to follow me . . . Sadly i have no interest in turning on our loyal and faithful Emperor Urisk. Ironically i have been trying to plan the best way to get out of here alive."
"Shame i thought we were good old friends" said Gregorian calmly. Commisar Maxmillian looked ready to explode with the easy talk of treason. As Gregorian finished his sentence and leveled his pistol into Max's head.
"Hahahaha" Max didn't turn to face Gregorian, but instead laughed.
"You lose," smriked Gregorian.
"Actually my friend, i seem to have some tactical gen--" A shot ripped from the balcony over head. The round twore through Gregorian's head casuing his brain to splatter over the nice clean white shirts and pants of the generals. "Well, if you are with me and Emperor Urisk, tallyho to the Emperor!" Yelled Max as he charged passed the nobels through a field of glowing hot power weapons and running chain saw swords. His cigar smoking like a train through the crowd.
"Down with the heresy! open fire and charge!" yelled the nobels. The preists open fire into the nobels and what few generals decided they loved the imperium more than the Emperor Urisk. Plasma wrapped around flesh, flames danced around massed groups of the rebel nobels. Urisk commenced focus fire with his fully automatic shotgun ripping anti infantry fire into anyone who came at him shooting and stabbing. The preists acted as a mechanical wall as the large crowd of nobels and generals pushed the emperor out the chamber and into the hall. Skitarri guards came to the aid of the dying and maimed preists. Chainsaw and power swords alike were hacking down the preists. Dispite the massive casualties of the nobels, and losing all the generals who supported them they still came. Nobels at the start of the council out numbered everyone nearly ten to one. The 20 lord generals were all, but dead except for a few. Commisar Maximillian is missing by this point. The honor guard joined in the defense of the king and slowly the nobels were being matched in combat.
"out of ammo!" started to be yelled through the defensive group as they ran through the halls. Urisk was long since out of ammo battering away any fool to get close enough to his power armor and sword. One by one the crowd ate a skitarri guard, body guard or preist.
"We must make it to the landing pad out back! Make a run for it!" yelled captain Rox. As a bacteria being chased by white blood cells the bacteria king group ran for the back landing pad. The white clothed nobels charged after them making rampet spiked and uncontrolled charges at the group.
"Inquistor watch out!" the inquistor had fallen to the back of the pack, closest to angery mob. Blood alone would not stop that mob. As the crowd came within arms reach of the Inquistor and the fingers nearly grabbing his robe a chain sword hacked through the arms spraying blood all over the inquistor. Bolt pistol ripped fire yelling defiance at anyone who tried to touch commisar Maximillian.
"You insulant swine! I will send you all to hell."
"Pleasure to see your alive Maximillian." He had his hat stolen, his cape tworn and carapace armor was showing. His trench coat was matted with blood and the chainsaw teeth full of flesh and blood still spinning.
"If you would kindly get a move on, i dont think i have a second life, my rosarus is broken."
"Agreed." Inquistor Edarmoc ran along side the commisar. Soon the distance grew between the mob and the king.
"Doors locked! hold out for a minute!" Urisk took his stand at the forfront with his shining armor. A very few tech preists were still alive, their numbers have dwindeled.
"Captain Rox! please call in for support!" Maximillian was exasperted and panting like a dog.
"This is captian Rox of the first regiment. Please send in support, we need crowd control a riot has broken out!" Rox finished typing in the consule as he finished his radio call. The blood thirsty mob turned the corner and came after them, but it was too late. The blast doors were rasied.
"What is in those people?! Nothing scares them!" Commisar Maximillian shouted. "a dozen bolter magazines, three frag grenades, four melta bombs and six magazines of autoshot gun pistol did nohing, but slow them." general Max turned and sat beside the commisar.
"Sounds to me Max that you had more than the regular allowed equipment on you. Hahaha." The commisar laughed too next to the general. "Whats taking the door captain? my Assassin reports they found powerfists to get through the blast door."
"Someone is locking me out of controls."
"I dont suppose the head of developement and research being on the other side of that door could cause a problem would it?" said one of the preists in a monotone voice pointing at the door with the mob behind it. It was the closest thing to a joke Max had ever heard from them in his life.
"I do suppose that is a huge problem." said Rox. Thunder struck through the small compartment they were held up in. Then again, and soon it came as rapid sucession. The door began to show signs of buldging and bending.
"Sorry emperor Urisk, but we have failed . . . I know how hard you worked at this." said Max. The door came bursting open and the crowd poured in. Urisk simply stood his ground not moving. The crowd came closer and closer then ten steps away. The look in their eyes was not human, but cult like deep with intensity as if they were full of chaos. Gun fire was muffled out by the screaming sounds of jet engines. Then golden hot flames washed over the open space and the wall to the right was cracked and blackened. As the smoke was clearing loud smashing sound resounding similar to a hammer smashing a anvil, a leman russ tank came flying through the wall.
"Dont mind if a drop in do you!?" The large turret mounted chain gun turned and ripped fire into the crowd. As the tank turned to fight down the hallway and chase the rebels the emperor read the label of 'bite me' on the rear of the tank. The rebeling was soon scilenced.
"I suggest a day of rest to everyone today, thank you for your support." said Urisk.

For a few lines either end of Gregorian's death I was confused who was who. also the fact that you had two emperors (including the one on the golden throne) and that you refered to one of them as king more than once was problomatic.

The Choir of the Sky I
Pure darkness drenched the barracks room even a officers cabin was extremely uncomfortable. Still Max enjoyed his rock hard bed, and the leather chair along with the fine box of cigars. Smoke fumed upwards carelessly into the roof. Max inhaled the orange glow lit the room and the tactical map of Volra on the desk. Throughts ran through his head he knew in a day or so riots would rip the planet apart if Urisk and Edmaroc didn't put a plan together. luckily they have him to make a plan, but to take a hole planet with less than a day? He chuckled. Cigar ambers lit the map once more with Max scanning every last detail. Half the army was loyal to the Urisk outright and would lay their life down and the other half would defend the Imperium to the end, as thats how Volran's are raised from birth. Taught every day to fight, to break down a situation, to never back down and never give up. How do we avoid the blood shed? Those bodies are needed to conqure the system. Max found himself grining. It had been half a day since he walked into his office to form this plan and he knew he just finished, he was out of scotch. I suppose that will have to do Max thought.
The sun rose up over the horizion. Light filled the frozen wasteland of Volra with giant stalagmites of soild ice reaching towards the sky. Fresh snow had fallen over night making the land look soft and enjoyable. That means anyone traveling would have a harder time of finding the razor ice that was carved out by the winds as well. One small slip and you could be cut to shreads by the ground and freeze with in minutes if the wind was blowing. Max reminded himself that Volra was and is a death ice world. The planet is more likely to kill you then lodging yourself in a loaded titan cannon about to fire. Most of the land mass was made up of miles thick ice that is occasionally hollow; making any land travel more than unbearable, anything over a hundred pounds had a one and sixth chance of falling through the ice and never being seen again. Take that weight up to a tank, it became a one in two chance. For any battle to take place on the god forsaken surface of the planet, a deep scanning probe had to sonar the ice checking its denisty before depolyment. Failure to do so would result in: Death. If razor ice and hollow ice was bad enough lets take a look at the local wild life of the frozen Volra. Their are Vrash which are a commonly known to Terra as flying seals, however, these Vrash pack maws that could devour a whole man in one bite and are capable of weathering the toughest of bullets. Thermal weapons are the only proven effective means of killing them, causing their air sacks and blubber armor to melt and break down. The only las pattern that could penetrate the flesh with consistancy was the las-cannon. The other and worse wild life was the Anoa worms. These worms make Tyranid marloc's and trygons seem tiny in compairsion by being roughly 3 times the size. They burrow through the ice and travel in packs. They are capable of spitting fire up to 50 meters, which they use to burrow through the ice and with hide as thick and tough as the front of a Leman Russ they are the prime of the food chain on this world.
"Birds are set and ready to take off General," reported captain Rox.
"Excellent Rox," Max lit his cigar to the warm breath of the morning sun light, that was washed off by a cold breeze numbing his nose "Take the first regiment south to the equator and over throw mayor Obma, I will take the second and over through the western mayor Ronod. The Emperor owns the north, and the east will most likely join us. If you fail to take over the mayor's palace within three hours. A nuclear strike will be called down on the target, and you will have five minutes to evacuate. If we are lucky the 29th which is led by my bother will join your cause. However, the 31st and 10th are devoute to the mayor. Any questions?" Max was smiling like a mad man.
"Why not just nuke them from orbit now and save the lives?" Rox yelled over the roaring engine of Valkyries.
"If there is one thing about Volrans it's that we are more loyal then dogs once you earned our trust. The only way to get a dog to like you if the owner doesn't is to remove the owner and offer it treat. To avoid looking like cowards and having a dog chase us down with a smoking gun, we are going to go in and replace the owner and offer the regiments a treat."
"Understood. We are moving out." Rox turned back and walked to his Valkyrie the Frost Princess.
"Flight command, this is Frost Princess tail number 666 we are lifting off and heading the flight out now," Rozan said cheerfully with her blond hair poking slightly out of her helmet. The craft shuddered at the tempature change of the hanger to the frozen cold of the world. Frost formed on the interior pannels of the hull. The heater recently installed was going full blast.
"The new heater works like a charm" Rox said cheerfuly. Rozan was drifting her head with the tilt of the air craft back and fourth. Rox glanced over the radar and all the birds were in perfect V formation.
"Maybe you wont use this heater as a improvised explosive this time around," Rozan joked. Rox shrugged behind her and he knew she saw him do it. Rox turned back to the cargo bay where his squad was waiting from him. New fish replaced b-cake who died with the last heater on Armageddon. Gordon, known as gilligain; Zack, known as nails; Josh, known as jester; Steve, known as turtle; Betty, known as Bouncing Betty; Sam, known as Black Betty; Ashley, known as Ashes; Gloria, known as Dot; and lastly New fish, known as Bob. Rox was happy he remembered everyone, and even the new guy.
"T-minus thiry minutes to south mayors palace."
Onwards to next time.

Chior of the Sky part 2
The craft dived down stomachs flew up into the chest. The force pulled up ward towards the head. Helmets clanked every now again with the hull of the cargo bay. A soft curve to the left pulled Rox away from the wall and left the stomach going even higher into his chest. Evasive maneuvers always made rox feel a little sick. The plane then cork screwed sending the entire world into a constant spin.
"Rozan! try not to kill us" screamed New Fish. New Fish obiviously wasnt use to the idea of flight, he made flight squad two weeks ago, and of course he has connections. Rox rolled his eyes. Now New Fish was stuck with one of the most elite units in the army, like he was going to make it, but then again Rox could just be over boasting.
"Hey boys, you are lucky this is just for show and we are not actually avoiding real anti air craft fire," Rozan laughed into her mic as she did more gravity defying stunts. Eventually the plane did land out on the landing pad of the mayors palace. Six squads of obiviously hardened vertrans in pure crisp white armor stood on the deck as the craft touched down gently and softer than a snow flake. Rozan powered down the engines.
Rozan spoke softly over the mic as she looked out the cockpit "ready up boys were here."
"New Fish, Dot take the rear. Ashes take front with me. Betty sisters watch out for any trouble, i am expecting this not to be easy," Rox finished his commands and released the comm bead on his helmet. He walked over to the cargo door and slid it open. No wind at all, not even a breeze attempted to make its way over the land. Rox knew this means a storm is coming and quickly. Once the storm hit, everyone out side would be frozen solid in minutes. A man wearing perfect blue and gold robe, a sign of obivious high status, flanked by ten veterans on each side walked towards the craft.
"Welcome to my humble abode captain Rox, " softly and delicately spoken by mayor Obma.
"May we speak in side Mayor?" Rox said camly through the helmets speaker. The full faceplate visor blocked any sign of emotion he would have given away. If the plate was up, fear would be crawling undering his skin as his eyes looked about and gained as much of a tactical read as they could. Sixty men nearly two dozen in specail weapons, four close combat specailist weapons. No flame throwers. The mayor didn't need to say anything, he knew he had first squad of the first right where he needed them.
"Yes commander, please come in, i have the heat turned up and would make for a nice chat. I have gotten word that you are here on offical political matters reguarding my rule of this land." The door closed behind everyone as combat boots cascaded across the marble flooring. The jingle of weapons and grades only added to the near pin drop of death Rox and his troops were in.
"Please your excellency, we should talk in private i wouldn't want this to cause trouble and leak among the men," Rox spoke as ambigious as he could. The mayor while walking along his giant hallway nodded with his fair skin and with a stroke of his blue and golden robe pointed to the dinning hall of his manor. Rox took the gest and walked down to have a seat. Fifty of the guard waited outside of the dinning hall, all but the lord mayors personal guard. They closed the doors and took seats at the massive table. Food was waiting, with roasted Vrash and green house grown potatoes and vegetables.
"Help yourselves my friends as i feel we are in for a long a chat." New Fish scrambled for a dinner roll as seemingly normal as he could. The next minutes was spent watching him strugle to unlock the visor on his helmet and everyone, even the commander of the personal guard cracking a wide smile open.
"Ashes, please render some helpful assitance to New Fish," Rox cheeringly said. Ashes wacked New Fish over the head with her fist and knocked the helmet off onto the table. New Fish moved the helmet back by his chair legs and devoured the baked treat. Everyone began to serve some of the food, Rox giving the first plate to the Mayor as was in Volrian tradition.
"Nice to see your manors are without equal commander," The mayor smiled with delight. Rox bowed. As the Vrash was quickly eaten and stories told of war on Armageddon. The last large play Volra had in any imperium deals.
"And then the ork looks on the ground, and picks up the potato with a grenade sticking right too it and goes... "eah wut'z dat?!" the best part is he chows down on it. The mek scambles over to the boy as he walks back to the group and trys to slap it out of the mouth of boy. The boy ends up swallowing it. The mek goes "Aw'e f-" and up goes all the orks." Spoke the captain of the royal guard. Everyone laughed even New Fish seemed to have the fear shaken out of him. Rox on the other hand knew they were on razors edge of death he checked his watch. A hour left before mother atom says hello.
"So..." the mayor finshed his bite of vrash "Rox, what do i owe the pleasure of this visit?" Rox smiled widely and pasued for a second.
"New Fish, package"
"Package," spoke New Fish in a modest confusion.
"Yes the package." Rox turned and winked at New Fish this time.
"Package!" New Fish walked over picking up the grade box off his kit. "Package." Rox took the package from New Fish.
"Mayor Obma, lord general Max wanted me to ask you a question." Rox fiddled with the package as he spoke.
"Yes, whats the question." Mayor gestured with his hands as he spoke.
"Say... our Emperor Urisk, didn't want to follow the Imperial rule anymore what would you do?" As Roxed finshed his question he finished playing with the package.
"Why, that is a rather crazy question, but obivously i would want to follow the God Emperor and his light." Rox handed the package to the mayor with the lid closed. As the mayor placed his hands on the box and begand to open the box.
"Mayor, its a gift from Max, please treat it with the up most respect." The mayor nodded and opened the box all the way. He went wide eyed. "What! Is! The! Meaning of this!" Obma turned the box around and their was a picture of stick figure flipping him off saying with love from max.
"Bettys!" Obma grabbed the picture and lifted it, to see a timer counting down from three. The royal guard were scrambeling. Betty sisters threw flash bangs up into the air and everyone had their helmets on. The sound of super heated air pushed out in the next second. Jet packs roasted off the chairs taking Rox's squad flying across the huge dinning room. Flash bangs clicked off as Obma went up into flaming smoke. Royal guard were scattered across the room. Rox and many others flew into the wooden doors of the dinning room. Pounding soom came on the door. Everyone was laying against the door.
"System check, squad check, status out!" Rox roared over intercom. Smoke was clearing, but infer-red kicked in faster. Rox looked to the left and saw everyone prepparing guns and locking drum clips then to the right where New Fish was leaning on Rox with his helmet on backwards. Rox grabbed the Helmet and spinned it around activating the locking mechnism. Bits of the mayor rained over the room. Rox drew his auto shot gun and loaded in a fresh drum clip.
"New Fish, status ok, systems normal now. Captain did you really have to use six bricks of explosive? One takes down a blast door."
"Quite New Fish!" Sam calmly yet deathly spoke into him. A hurricane sounded like it was beating on the door. Roxed leaned in close and used sign language to tell New Fish, "No but it was worth it." The door began cracking apark.
"It would be really nice if we had some sort of bomb to plant on this door...." Sam wacked New Fish over the head. New Fish shut up. Rox signaled for everyone take up positions next to do the door. Mean while Rox grabbed a chair and sat down infront of the door. The door came smashing down just moments later.
"What happened in here? Take him prisioner!" Yelled some nameless of the huge blob.
"That wont be necessiary," Rox spoke calmly and even leaned back in the chair. "In roughly fifteen minutes a atomic weapon is going to be dropped on this house if i don't report that we have the full and complete agreement that the south will follow and serve the Emperor Urisk."
"You lie!?"
"Tell me your name captain?"
"Andrew Ferna."
"Now look Andrew, you have twenty five of your men surrounded, and a nuke about to drop on this god forsaken frozen part of the world; how would you like a promotion?"
"Promotion? Surrounded?" the click and pop of shutgun slides and the small his of a flame sparked the darkness and revealed Rox's team "What sort of promotion are we talking about?"
"How about mayor of the south? With say... a double pay raise to your company? All to follow the Emperor Urisk in his decleartion of war against Imperium."
"What? What?! What?!!!" the man was stuttering. It is always the high ranks that dont work under pressure Rox thought, might as well add more.
"Six minutes..." Rox laughed under his breath. All of the men turned to look to him. "Two minutes"
"Ok ok ok?! I will do it. Give everyone here a paise raise as well and make them my personal and loyal guard."
"Consider it done, i will get the paper work done in roughly tomorrow?" Rox smiled wide behind his visor.
"Hey?! Are you not going to call off the nuke?" Andrew yelled.
"Oh right! thanks we only have 20 seconds. New Fish! Call them, tell them its done, also Andrew? is it? You may want to clean up your new dinning room, and find a nice girl."

Open Skys part I
A faint green glowing light flickered in the cargo bay of Frost Princess. The static fuzz that outlined general Max as he spoke to Rox's sitting squad.
"The mayor of the west had been eliminated, resistance was minimal. I think a parade might be in order; In truth we were lucky we fought in Armageddon and took such reckless amounts of losses, it has burned in a deep scorne for the Imperium," Max spoke happily over the crackeling radio. He took a puff of his cigar over the holograph display looking at the squad. "Also, the mayor of the east has been issued his ultimatium and we will know within the hour if he will join us or not."
"Max, i have to ask, why did you have me take out the south over the east? The south has all the troops, but the east has all the bullets," said Rox in a confused tone. Max smiled took another puff of his cigar and started to speak.
"Becase troops win wars, not bullets. The east will have hardly a chance in any form of engagement with the north, south and west going for them." Rox agreed with understanding. It was wise to leave the weakest one out.
"I however have one large fear, and that is our very own space marine chapter the Frost Fists will take the new, well old Imperial doctrine." Max left a deep staire into nothing thinking. Rox felt a sinking feeling in him. Space marines were dicks, and imperium loving killing machines of just any thought other to gain glory for the emperor. He seen the Frost Fists assit in many operaitions in Volra defending against the constant Tyranid and Ork infesting that occured when Rox was a New Fish. They fought with clean and precise strikes never expending needless movement, and they always seem to play this offensive defensive stragey. Moving foward to engage, but rather than making the first move they would simply counter what came to them. This made them decisive victors over the orks, and the Tyranids caught on only when it was too late. After a seemingly long and quite time went by "Rox, i would like you and your squad to stay in the city and keep a cool head till hings blow over. In a day we are going to conqure/ request to join the dominion. You and your team are on temp leave enjoy the vacation, money is in the hangers cargo box above your head." Max smiled and walked off screen causing the display to turn off. Rox didn't even salute or pause to jump for the cargo box above him. Everyone dog piled for it. New Fish was throw to the left by turtle, and ashes busy putting both the bettys in a head lock with her legs and arms. Gilligan wrestled with Rox over the box which rolled around and bounced and landed at the feet of Rozan. Rozan opened the box and everyone stopped fighting to look. At a glance New Fish was holding a grenade with the pin in other hand clamping down on the safty as Turtle had him in a head lock.
"Oh my. . . " Rozan put her hands over her mouth. The case was filled to the brim with cash. Three thousand per person to spend.
"Max is the best general ever!" yelled New Fish as he dropped the primed grenade. Ashes dived and scurried to deactivate it. Rozan handed everyone their money. What are we going to do with it? Rox thought to himself. It has been seven years since he has had leave.
"Last one to the bar is paying for the first round yelled Rox" he ran like a child with the money from the landing pad. He jet-packed off the landing pad flames melting the very snow he crunched under his feat. Lifting off up over the edge of the pad landing with a good thud on the ground he rolled over and continued to run down the street to which he turn and ran back and threw all his gear at the guard by the front gate and then in nothing but a white tank top and grey fatigues he took off into the street. Everyone looked at each other and then at Rox. Ashes and New Fish scrambled to get their kit off. The race was on! the Bettys repled down the side of the landing pad and took off after Rox.
Rox had a head start and was sliding through the street avoid people every which way. He pole vulted over two men carrying a huge amount of timber using a street sign. The snow always made a soft and slipperly landing causing Rox to lose his footing. Everyone started to catch up to him. A near by police officer roaming the streets caught the sight of eleven men and women running through the street with no blanant reguard for the law.
"HUALT CRIMINAL SCUM!" the officer yelled. Rox and everyone turned and saw the officer calling out too them.
"Whats the problem officer?" Rox said everyone was giggling.
"You are being a public mense, i am going to bring you to the station." Rox smiled and panting a little said,
"Do you happen to no where the pub is?" The officer jaw dropped. Normally any citizen would be pleeding with him right now.
"It's uh around the corner two streets up." Then suddenly a metal cylinder hit him in the knee and he fell over. Bright screaming whiteness grabbed him and fell to his back. Rox and the team were racing back to the pub. The cobble stone roads were slipperly and the cold was getting colder, without jackets and such they could die from the cold, but were to use to it and gave it little notice. Time slowed as the sprinting grew closer. All of them one step closer with everyone and New Fish with his arm infront of Dot possibly just trying to feel her chest. Rox was giggeling like a child as he slipped and slid down the side walk tripping a couple people and making it into the bar. Gilligan and Turtle followed him as Rox was getting up. Rozan made it in last. Rozan walked over to the bar tender as he was stairing at the feasico. "I would like to buy the first round for my friends and me, please and thank you." Everyone in the bar cheered and the day went onwards.

One Pint To Few
Music danced colorfully in the background with vibrant guitar rifts and a steady bass with horse hoofing drums. Laughing and partying was being had and Rox had no idea what was going on. Over the news feed from the video box changed to a urgent message. Emperor Urisk was stepping up to speak to address the people of the nation. The music stopped and everyone watched. Edamroc was to the left of Urisk and Max to the right. Cameras flickered flashes across the Emperor and his golden armor.
"My good people, i know their have been many recent deaths..." Urisk opened with a corase voice, but soothed into a more gentle and father like tone. "Much confusion and chaos has grow this past day and I am here to clear what has happened. My colleagues have discovered a long since hidden truth about the God Emperor." Inquistor Edarmoc took the stand in his white robe.
"It has been a long time since Volra joined into the Imperium, and even longer since we have talked with Them in any recent manor." Edarmoc leaned into his speech and his eyes grew intesne. "The Emperor of Terra never wanted us to view him as a god, and never to believe in the chaos gods." The crowd remained slient. "Here i present to you the historical truth of the Emperor and his law the Imperial Truth which states: We will not believe in gods, we will tolerate xenos and pursue science in all manors!" The crowd didn't know what to say and Urisk took the stand again.
"The Imperium has grown stagnate, we use technology from the ages, it has made hundreds of enemies against xenos. I can tell you the countless time the old Eldar and the Tau have come to Volras aid when the Imperium has failed to show their faces. It is known that the Frost Fist Astartes owes their lives to the aid of the Tau and have long sinced formed a acceptable bond between them. Volra is here by declaring war on the Imperium to fight for the true Emperor of humanity and not the false god he has been made to become." A few of the soldiers yelled and raised their fists into the sky. The crowed cheered and Rox yelled and raised his fist at the video feed display. Everyone in the bar joined him in his second huzzah. Max smiled and added to the huzzah and knew it was the best five hundred he had ever spent. It made the people agree.
When Rox thought things couldn't be better a wind blew through the streets.
"Oh no... a storm..." Rozan held her hand over her mouth....

Wind raced through the streets at horrific speeds. The first gust was warm compaired to the following gusts. With every speeding wave of air the mousiture froze to windows and people everything was turning white. The glass windows of the bar rapidly grew odd shaped and obscured. As the frost grew thicker and thicker. The police officer was stumbling through the winds, he was no less than seven feet from the door before he collasped. Snow was building in the inches quickly. People long since had rushed to homes and shops to hide in. The bartender dropped the window slides down. Rox was raging at the police officer as he obiviously wasnt going to get back up and it be a minute before he was solid ice. Street signs were forming scythe blades of ice from the high speed winds.
"I am going to get him!" Rox said angerly.
"You can't you will be frozen in seconds," New Fish spoke with honest worry. Rox opened the door and wind rushed in. Snow blinded everyone. He closed the door. His face was red in seconds. Frost was building on his shirt and pants. Slowly, but surely it was thickening and draining the heat out of him.
The white winds ate over the police officer. Rox grabbed him teeth chattering endlessly. Rox pulled the man, but he was already frozen to the ground. Rox fell to his knees. The cold was deep in his bones. His heart rate was slowing, no amount of air could seem to help him breath. He had seconds. Rox yelled out in the wind, his voice not even audiable three feet from him. He smashed his fist around the police officer breaking the ice. Rox then rose to his feet; his pants cracking and ice chuncks flying off. He grabbed the officers long coat by the back and pulled with all his might. Ice cracked and pulled apart. He lifted the officer on a ice plater and moved. One step the cold ate at him. Two steps the cold hungered for him. Three steps half way their and limb feeling was gone. Four and Rox slipped but the snow was so thick it caught him. Five and he was at the door. It had a inch or so of ice on it, sealing the door. He smashed for it to swing open, but it wouldnt budge. He slamed harder and harder, but the ice was easily resisting his efforts. Rox slipped to sit and he couldn't catch his breath. It was over darkness started to eat at his vision.
What was thought to be his dying breath was a siloute of a huge bulky figure. It moved with speed unseen. Its entire form was frozen over with ice adding to its huge bulk. The frost on its helmet and neck prevented it from turning its head. It almost no ablitiy to move the marine didnt have long, and Rox knew he had less then the power armored giant. The marine grabbed both Rox and the officer and slugged them under his arms. With one thundering smash the marine kicked down the front door. Sending winds and snow all over the place. The marine kneeled through the door way trying to block as much of the wind as possible. Turtle pulled the emergency blast door switch sending a blast door up from the inside seem of the building. All light from outside was blocked out.
"Life signs are minimal, but they live, i require medical supplies" the radio deep shark like voice gripped over the crowd. Rozan rushed to the marines aid with a medical kit. The marine nimbly ripped open the shirt of Rox who was unconcious at this point and the officer. Rox had the entire right side of his chest plated in adamantium reveiling a extensive set of bionic replacements for arms, colar bones, ribs, lung and legs. Taken these away leaves Rox with a left arm and half a chest. The marine placed heat packets on both of them. at a second glance the marine was covered in ice spikes. His entire back was penetrated with foot long and inch wide ice shards.
Rozan mustered up the courage to say, "are you ok?"
The marine smashed the ice off his neck and turned his head to Rozan. The blank stairing and glaring of his helmet seem to dig deep into Rozan. "I am fine, the razor winds were not fast enough to perice my armor entirely." The marine then placed his hands on the release mechenism of his helmet and grabbed it. He took the helmet off and looked back at Rozan. "Your friends will live, we are on the edge of a catagory five ice-hurricane which required our immediate respone to save lives. Radio signals are bocked by static electric feild generated by the rapid moving ice. Ice lightning will be discharging soon, and movement is nigh impossible."
Rozan continued, "But are you ok?" The marine had a moment of question wash over his face as if he didnt know what to say.
"I am fine," the marine ended. The lights in the bar came back on to full power.
"reserve generator is up, should last for a few days and the tunnels under the store are frozen shut, looks like we are sealed off," the shop keeper said to the crowd. The marine sat down and leaned against the thick steel pannels of the store. His back pack clanked with it and he placed his bolter on the ground next to him. Everyone staired in awe, but Rozan who was busy holding Rox's head.
"New---New---New Fish...You owe me a bet, " Rox managed to talk and caughed up water. New Fish rolled his eyes and laughed.
"Had i know you were iron man i wouldn't of bet on fifteen seconds," New Fish joked to ease the situation. Rox just smiled and eventually sat up. To his surprise their was a giant space marine leaning on the blast door behind him. Rox turned around with blue arms and skin.
"Thank you," Rox humbly said. The marine looked into his eyes and Rox didnt falter in the slightest he just looked back. The ice blue eyes of the marine made everyone uneasy, but Rox for he had the same colored eyes.
"How do you carry the gene for our eyes?" The marine asked coldly and concisely.
"Thats a story you will have to take up with my mother and father," Rox laughed heartly. "Hey wheres my pint?" Rozan handed him his pint and everyone was sitting around and enjoying the talk with the marine. Rox drank a huge amount of the warm fluid and smiled. The marine was not in the slightest satisfied with that answer. The marine took a deeper look at rox, he had a broad chest, and was large compaired to the average person. He took a guess at two-hundred and sixty pounds of built body, but closer to three with the robotic combat limbs, a wide shoulder span bolstering thicker neck mussles and a smooth robust chin. If anything he could pass for a half pint marine, but the worst abnormality of him is the eyes. Ice blue eyes is a Frost Fist chapter only kind of deal and that was eating away at the marine he had not a clue how that could randomly happen. "You ok buddy? You seem alittle lost in there." The marine realised he was looking at Rox, but not doing anything he smoothly caught himself and said,
"Care to tell me the story of your father and mother?"
"Sure, after i can get your name, mine is Rox." Rox was taking down another large sip of brew.
"My name is Omeithius," Omeithius said monotonely.

Omeithius watched deeply into Rox as Rox leaned up against a booth trying desperately to heat himself up. The bartender wrapped up Rox in a blanket and offered blankets to everyone else, it was going to be a long time before they could go outside again. Rox smiled and thanked the bartender graciously for the blanket and then looked onto Omeithius.
"So do you want the short story, or the long story?" Omeithius didn't know how to take the question. Normally when asked you answered with everything, but then again people were different than marines. Omeithius rolled the question over in his mind for what seemed to be a incredibly long time for everyone, but Rox. Rox placed the pint down on the floor next to him and tucked in his legs. His limbs moved without a single servo sound. This made Omeithius want to ask more questions.
"The long story please," Omeithius said with the straightest face he could muster. Rox took a breath and began. . .
"Do you know of the genetic modification program? Most likely not, it was an Adeptus Mechanicus program that was thrown together because of my parents. This program was made to recreate the space marine on a gran scale like the Guardsmen. Every warrior tougher and more powerful than a skitarri, faster and more agile than the fastest human. It was a dream long fathomed by many for the results, but the process was terrible. My father was a space marine of the Frost Fist chapter, and my mother well, everything to be known about her was erased, and she left me when i was just born. I was raised by my father for the most part, until he died when i was in my mid teens from an Ork rising in the north of Volra." Omeithius contained all the looks of confusion he could, but a space marine father.. something just didn't fit. He knew the member he spoke of, who was indeed often gone under the tense of public relations with Volra. Omeithius was ripping himself apart from the confusion, but remembered to relax and had found his clam again. Of course his face remained ever so still except for the slightest nudge. Rox knew from the ever so small tilt of Omeithius's head that he was not liking what he was hearing.
" My mother met my father on a campaign in the Volra system. They were cut off from the main army as Ork hordes surrounded the out laying areas. They were forced to hold out for a week in a abandoned Imperial bunker complex. During that week the two fell for each other and had gathered over seven hundred confirmed kills. Love forged through battle, as Max put it. My quote mother was impregnated with space marine seed when she returned. The marine was then forced by decree of the Emperor Urisk to take care of the child as this was an extremely rare occurrence. Thats when the Mechanicus stepped in, and weird things started to happen. It was reported that my father harmed several dozen men and priests when my mother let lose a small grunt of pain during a experiment. They implanted genetic modifications into my mother with me in her womb. Max said my parents were scared what may come out, but it was the only way for this to work out. Luckily i came out normal, for the most part." Omeithius nodded his head and scratched at it.
"I wish you knew more of your mother, but i knew your father well. However, your mother had to be something amazing and different to take on a mighty space marine." Omeithius was laughing heartily and even slapped his knee. Rox laughed too knowing full well what he meant. New Fish and everyone were smiling. Dot came out of the pantry with a few decks of cards and passed them off to the odd group of people spread through out the room. Dot turned and looked at Omeithius.
"Sweety pie, you don't give Volrian women enough credit to what they can take." She placed her hand on her hip and looked into his eyes smiling. Another round of laughter was had. "Now are you stuck in that refrigerator you call armor?" Omeithius had a sort of dawned look on his face for a moment, but accepted everything and smiled.
"I am afraid i am stuck in my fridge, but i rather have it that with this storm happening." Dot began to pass out cards.
"Alright sweety, heres your cards we are playing dead shot." Dot smiled and sat down closish to the marine, New Fish parked down next to dot sharing his blanket with her and everyone except Omeithius huddled around their cards, playing and drinking the storm away.

The ice stopped scrapping at the walls outside. The wind's howling ceased to be and everything seemed ok. Omeithius placed his helmet on his head, and Rox stood up. Data streamed into Rox's cranial node. To many dead he thought hundreds were frozen in the streets from what few images he rendered. "No brother casualties." Omeithius spoke loudly and perhaps a small hint of joy at that fact. Rox looked at Omeithius's helmet lenses, the blue frost eyes glared back at him. "Raise the doors we are getting out of here." Dot flipped the blast door switch and Gilligan tightened his blanket. The windows and door lifted to reveal a ice prison. The ice was easily a foot or more thick, with no real way to tell how thick because it was distorted, Getting out just wasn't possible. "Brother Mat Lock i need devastating assistance at my location." Omeithius lowered the blast doors again sealing the room back. Thunder clapped out side and the blast doors shook. Omeithius then raised the doors again. The ice was smoldering and smoking, cracked and blown apart. In the distance on the frozen roof of the theater was a Frost marine with a bazooka. Omeithius plowed through the ice and signaled for everyone to follow him. Rox and Rozan leading the people after the marine. The marine cracked the ice with every step, but he knew it was solid and cared not. Everyone made it to the town square. Dark black, smooth grey sploches and white spotted clouds surrounded the square. Fat roundish clouds flashed with bright white searing color and rained lightning and ice below. The only clear spot was at the center of the town. "Brothers regroup at the town square we are evacuating."
Rox looked at the ground, people frozen up to their waist in solid ice. All of them frozen statues of what they were with their arms blocking their face or simply standing holding their children knowing full well they would die instantly. The scene was a frozen cemetery. Doors of the buildings around town began to fly off their hinges taking the small mountain of ice with them. The doors landed occasionally smashing a frozen victim in half showing completely blueish purple insides. Rox felt the sinking feeling of his stomach from the number of deaths. The ground shook and vibrated. The ice in front of the town square cracked like a tank being ripped in half. The foggy glass ice spiked up and the snow drifted down to the base. Then a huge drill came rising out of the ground. The drill spun and then green paint began to show as the drilling siege engine was emerging like a beached whale. Orks! thought Rox. A particular band of Orks on Volra, rallied under a flag they stole from the Terra museum, causing them to conquer the entire volran ork population. No matter what war boss, or Big mek held the flag they maintained order and as one nation. Rox took the police officers pistol when he was a sleep and primed the weapon. The people got behind the walls in the center garden. The plants were frozen over with razor sharp tips a single slip would insure death. The space marines grabbed and moved the ice block benches forming two foot thick ice walls and set up a defensive line.
"Now dis is propra ever'fin iz all smash's and ard!" Yelled a particularly large Ork that crawled out of the drill. It was long before the Ork turned his gaze to the town square with a squad of Frost Fists and Rox's squad holding up behind the benches. A marine looked through his gun scope aiming clearly at the Orks helmeted head. "Oh Zog.." the Ork said as a round ripped into his skull imploding the entire head. His blood ran down the drill shaft along with his body. A huge roar of a waghhh from inside the drill erupted as the body fell. Then a flag arose from the drill. Red and White stripes took most of the flag and then a blue square with stars in it. A arm pushed the flag up and out as Orks ran out of the drill. The Orks machine gun fire drilled into the ice and bolter rounds barked back at the Orks guns. The marines were dropping the Orks left and right. Rox fired his small pistol into the Orks, but they shrugged off every hit. It wasn't long before the Orks had the position the marines and Rox's squad held surrounded. They were forced to fall back. Rounds bounced off the marine armor as they fell back deeper into the square. Flickers of gun barrels, and sparks of bullets skimming this metal armor slowed the scene for Rox. Everything was happening to slow.
A Ork slid on the ice leaning back into his gun firing off the hip. The shots went wide as his jaw opened reviling the hideous maw of the Ork. The Orks didn't wait long to press their advantage, but screaming engines sounded the victory for the marines. The marines opened fire with their bolter rounds irks exploded left and right. A group of larger Orks lead a charge wielding man sized axes. Rox didn't wait. He grabbed the bolt pistol of the marines waist. Omeithus looked quickly at Rox, but couldn't speak as Rox charged at the larger Orks. The Valkyries were landing in the square and needed time it was all Rox could think about. Rox shot one of the Orks in the knee cap taking his leg off. Rox's mechanical arm easily withstood the recoil. The other two pressed their charge faster. Omeithus grabbed Rox back the back and threw back into the group of people where Rox's squad was loading them up. Omeithius blocked the melee swing of the Ork and kicked the Ork's leg out wide. The large Ork dropped to a kneel. The Ork was in mid swing with his chain axe revving at full speed to eat into Omethius's face. Omethius ducked and the blow dug straight into the large kneeling Orks face severing the head in two. Omeithius then fired a volley bolter rounds point blank into the Orks stomach blowing the Ork in half. Rox hopped on the transport with his squad.
"Omeithius!" Rox cried out. The marines ran back to the valkyrie and hopped in. Omeithius was given quick chase by the Orks nipping right at his heals. The thick armor bounced off even the seemingly strongest of bullets the Orks had to throw. The craft began to be peppered with Ork gun fire. The other two valkyries gave supporting fire shooting back at the Orks. Heavy bolter rounds ate into the horde of Orks. Rocket pod missiles flew into the drill entrance blowing green flesh all over the street. Omeithius was snagged by a large Orks hand as he jumped to get to the craft. Rox and the marines opened fire into the horde and Nob. Omeithius got back up and leapt to grab the craft. His hands made contact with the cargo floor causing the air craft to lisp. The pilot floored the right side hover jets, but it wasn't enough and the air plane began to drift. Rox grabbed Omeithius's back pack and helped pulled him up. All of Rox's squad helped. The marines pulled on him to. A marine was even holding Rox's shoulder as he helped. The pilot floored the main engines to gain control of the craft pulling everyone out of the situation.

"A ork incursion in the city? What do you supose we do commander?" New Fish said to Rox. Rox simply held the fabric handel in the cargo bay. The marines stay towards the middle of the craft standing and waiting for orders. Rox looked over his shoulder at New Fish and turned to face him.
"They drilled out of the ice, because the storm stopped, not because they wanted to attack." Rox finshed speaking with a shallow breath. The craft began a small discent out of the storms range and landed in the back yard of the capital. Omeithius slide the cargo bay door open. His armor moving gracefully and with obivious care.
The door opened to a world filled with mad efforts to save people. Thousands of refugees sheltered in tents. Valkyries in the dozen flew around, heading to out laying cities carrying supplies before the storm hits the cities. The towering facilties of the logistics devisions watched over the landing field where the operations were taking place. Rox went to the armory and gathered his equipment. The space marines promptly reported to their chapter master who was talking with general Max.
"Everyone grab your gear and report to the general." Rox was cold and calculating when he spoke. The warmth of his voice vansihed as it always did during battle. Death scratched under his skin every comrade that fell nothing would stop it. Rox adorned his thermal coat and gloves; put on his Lynx helmet; preped and loaded his shot gun. The slide cocked backing with the pop and lock of a shell being loaded into the chamber. Rox was ready and lead everyone out of the armory. At the generals presense Max was talking with what seemed be to the jolly green giant of army men. "General," Max sounded his entrence and stood at his side. The Frost Fist chapter master took a washing gaze over the Rox and his team. He smiled with a small grin and nodded to Rox. Rox nodded back and stood at attention.
"It would appear that the orks are becoming a large henderance to out goals; as they are making moves to the North fleeing from the obivious storm. The last thing we need is a confrontation while frozen hell itself walks up behind the orks." General Max walked around the 3D map of the area and expanded the red blips of the ork movements and nodded in agreement with the chapter master.
"We must send a small scale distraction force to delay and confuse the orks," Max took a puff from his cigar. "I will send the first's first squad along with twenty-two Valkyrie air support and six vulture gunships to go along any of your space marine forces you wish to send." Max put down his cigar and grabbed a hot mug of coffee. The chapter master simply staired into the map.
"We will target here," he said quitely. There was a small ork force branching left. It was obivious the Orks would follow the sound of fighting and pull towards the west where they will be caught out in the open. If they were lucky they get a few hundred Ork-sicles. Max signed the paper order and had it taken off by a messenger.

The high pitched electronic cry of doom was ringing throughout the cabin. Red lights were flashing. Gravity was ripping and pulling on Rox to the side, come to the walls it seemed to cry. The craft was shaking side to side and jumbling in a full free fall spin. Rox's vision was narrow with black growing over it. His time was nigh, but its been eight seconds the ground had to be close. That annoying siren was the only thing keeping him awake. Squeal...squeal engines trotting to a stop, the high volume burn of the craft going down. Smoke filled the cargo bay as it was light a flame by sparks from a cable. Rox climbed the grated floor sticking his fingers between the metal gaps. He made it to mid bay when the craft stopped instantly in the ground. The slam was so powerful Rox's visor shattered in his face. His carapace armor cracked and flew apart. The boxes and ammo flew from the top of the cargo bay landing every where even atop of Rox. The Top of the bay bent the metal sides inward tightening the space. The rear hatch popped off its hinges and flew out for some distance. The cock pit snapped up and off shredding itself from the craft landing a few feet from where it belonged. Fire was growing into the snow as fule poured on to it. Soon this was going to be a oven and a coffin at the same time. Rox tried to move, but couldn't. His ribs were broken, and most likely his legs as well. He told it to move, but nothing would happen. Com chatter was screaming in his ear. "Ice Princess tail number six-six-six has gone down, Vulture ship, hawk-eye tail number 348 has gone down, Vulture ship, birdy tail number 347 has gone down. feth their goes another one! The ork jets are tearing us apart." Rox could hear the thuds of planes crashing.
Tears were being brought to his eyes. Bits of the visor stuck in Rox's face could be felt as he cried. It was silent, just tears rolling down his bloody face. A voice came over Rox it was soft and womanly. "Rox, come now...get up..." Rox just laid down he wanted to get up "Rox!! get up!" the voice was more demanding. Rox twitched his arms. His toes wiggled. He pushed with his left arm. A chain of popping happened as his body snapped back together. "Rox! Get up damn it" He pushed him self over with his left arm. Rolling on to his back, gears clinked back together and servo motors sounded as they tug him pulling him tight again. Rox tightened a fist with his left. His knuckles cracked under the gloves and his arm ached from pain in the forearm and bicep. it was most likely fractured. "Rox get up now - son" The voice suddenly grew warm and Rox felt everything again. His daze left him, just in time for his legs to pop back into the spine. Pain shot back up through him into his mind. He let out a loud groan of discomfort. The voice was gone and Rox couldn't find anyone around. Turtle was dead. Gilligan was shot in half manning the heavy bolter. Gilligan's legs still tide to the disfigured gun mount. Parachutes were missing. Rox removed his broken helmet. He dropped the helmet on the crated floor. The smoke was thick and the fire was keeping Rox warm.
"I am not out of the fight yet..." Rox pulled the visor pieces out of his checks and forehead. He picked up a new helmet from a crate and put it back on. It locked and sealed.
++System Boot: Armor Status: Damaged - 87%, Condition: Useless//Ejecting Plates. Thermal Barrier Status: Active//Condition - 1% leak. Joining Local Radio Channel: Fox++ The suit blew the pressure pistons off the armor plates. The plates dropped to the ground around Rox, Rox enjoyed the free movement and light weight. Targeting radicals popped up over his vision and identified several key weapons to use. Loss reports began streaming into his helmet. The vulture gun wing was destroyed. Half the Valkyries. The over half were in full retreat. Frost Fists were covering the retreat. Rox was going to be stranded. Rox at first limped, but then began walking towards a gun and acquired replacement plates for his armor. He a donned a new jet pack and walked out the crashed flaming wreck of the cargo bay. Rox checked the cockpit, it was empty. He looked around and their was nothing, but a arctic wasteland. The Orks were far away. Rox turned his eyes on the horizon where he saw the black and white flashing clouds that rang with hell and death. It looked like a swarm of bees in front of a strobe light with sparks and lightning shooting off. He knew the small dots that resembled the bees were just solid ice flying around from the rapid temperature changes caused by electrical discharge, but it didn't add any comfort. The sky war was just beginning with the Orks. Rox looked to his right and their was dozens of wrecks. Each one a tomb stone to the lost that occurred. "I better look for survivors.."

Cold wind rushed over Rox as he left the cargo bay. His suit did the best it could to keep his heat, but the warmth was being leeched from his bones. Gusts of dry snow attacked his vision. Rox felt a growing sinking feeling in his stomach, he was alone, he knew one squad member was dead. He didn't know what to do alone, he always was motivated by keeping the others alive. The snow crunched under his feet and Rox could feel the smooth hard ice under his boot. It crunched and cracked with every step. Rox had no fear he had no one left. Rox was holding tears in his eyes, and wouldn't dare cry out loud. He was taught that emotions should be used to power you, not to wallow hopelessly. Then Rox realized In the snow that he was on his knees Shotgun stock to the ground holding the pump with a tight grip. The flaming wreck behind him. Rozan!! Rox thought. He rose to his feet. His heart was pounding and he ran for the cockpit that snapped on the plane. Rozan laid their head bleeding out from under the helmet and face on the console. Rox ripped off the canopy the nose gunner was dead. Rox lifted Rozan out and dragged her near the burning remains of ice princess. Rox tried to shake Rozan awake, but she could only mumble. She was cold and pale the ice was going to claim her. Rox grew angry and fetched a scorched uniform jacket from the burning cargo bay.
Rox lifted Rozan in his arms with his shot gun slung over him. His helmet hiding his smiling face as Rozan looked more life like with the warmth. Soon over time Rox checked each wreck getting a couple of survivors and before he knew it he had a hole platoon following him. A field medic looked at Rozan and she just had a bad concussion. Then it caught Rox's eye that their was a Ork jet crashed between two planes. He began to panic. Rox realized that they were in a winter rolling hill scrap yard of Ork and Volran air craft. Rox heard shuffling from a near by Volran craft. Survivors!! He thought. Rox ran to the craft leaving Rozan in the medics care. Rox ran to the craft and opened the side hatch. What was thought to be a survivor was actually his worst nightmare. A huge powerful Ork was standing in the craft digging through boxes. This Ork was at least twice the size of any normal Ork and had a huge mechanical looking fist for a right arm. Slung across its back was a large chainsaw axe type device laying over the Ork's white shirt. The dark green pants and armor plating signified its alliance to the Ork clan. White stars encircled rested as a icon of status on its should plates which looked like rough steel cut and sanded poorly. It wore a thick steel helmet and had a giant poorly made cigar in its mouth. The Ork turned to see Rox. Its white beady eyes and huge jaw took a look over Rox. The Ork stoop up straight its head nearly hitting the roof of the crashed bird. Fold its mechanical claw over its chest, and placing its other arm's elbow on the claw it took the cigar from its mouth. The Ork blew a puff of smoke from his mouth. "Dis ere iz an en'trassting Deeveel'opttement" Rox was taking by surprise. The brute spoke and clearly.
"Interesting in what kind of way?" said Rox almost hysterically.
"Wellz it a zoggin mess me boyz de too meh, and I's aint goona let em winz." The Ork took another puff of smoke and had a very relaxed pose. Rox nearly thought general Max had turned himself into an Ork.
"Your boyz?" Rox forced the words to come out smooth. Rox was making a slow move for his shotgun to bring it to point.
"Hur hur hur hur! Youz a foony wittle one 'umizes. Wez both stucck and wez booth gunna die if wez don't woork tog'zether." The Ork took a long drag of his cigar. "Iz gunna pay me boyz a visit fer betrazying me, and rip dat big'n mek boy a kknew one." Then the ice cracked sounding like paper tearing. "Uh ohz" The Ork turned to look out the back of the cargo bay. Rox drew his shot gun, but looked as well. The ice cracking in a huge uproar. The snow was moving down as if into some kind of pit and razor sharp ice shot out around the growing hole. "Itz kol'appzin book eet!" The Ork grabbed Rox in one hand and ran out the air craft. The Ork ran into Rox's platoon who just staired wildly as Rox was being taken away.
"Dont just look at me! RUN AFTER ME!" The ice played towards the crowd and everyone ran. The Ork's muscle was superb, his breathing deep like a freight train. He could go for miles and Rox knew it. Once the ice stopped moving Rox was thrown down in the snow gently as Rox thought because he landed in a soft pile of snow. The Ork again took a long drag from his cigar and paced back in forth a little till he turned and faced Rox. With the cigar in hand using it as a pointing tool the Ork spoke,
"whatz eet i gotz ta' do too go wit'h you'z" The Ork was mustering all the verbal clearness he could. He must of practiced for months to speak this good. Rox still laid on the ground as everyone was standing around aiming at the Ork. Rox stood and raised hand to everyone telling them to lower their weapons. If the Ork wanted Rox dead he could of killed Rox. Rox looked at the ground and saw Rozan. He had to get her somewhere warm and quick.
"Alright, Tim, you help us salvage a couple Jeeps we ride back to my town, and my people help you." Rox extended his augmented arm for a hand shake. Tim grabbed it with his mechanical hand gradually applied a small amount of pressure. They shook hands.

Engines roared over the winds. Vibrations shook the frame of the jeep. Some nameless survivor was manning the heavy bolter turret. It was a tight fit, there was 2 to 3 people a seat, plus the troop carriers being overloaded. Using sonar Rox navigated the path traveling only on the thick patches of ice. Tim was clinging to the roof of the enclosed cabin. He simply couldn't fit in any seat. He was yelling and shouting into the wind, as if he enjoyed it, cigar still burning bright against the dark sky and into the rapidly descending night. Rox shifted into the eighth gear and the jeep took what seemed a breath then expelled a huge deep throttling roar.
The speed of the jeep was near max going 140 miles per hour over the ice. They didn't have long, if night fell on them they would all die. The ice cracked audibly. The sonar warning system flared. "Wutz dat?!" Tim yelled. Without responding Rox saw the shape take form on the screen. It was a native life form.
"Its a Avida!" Yelled one of the troopers in the passenger seat.
"Avveeeda?" Yelled Tim from the roof. The beast bellowed from the ice in parallel with the convoy. Mountains of ice ripped up around the beast. Thousands of little claws pulled it along. It was easily the size of a six story building. Its giant light blue eye opened to look at the convoy. It looked long and hard and opened a horrifying maw. Rows of man sized teeth protruded from its mouth, between the teeth was the remains of a ork Squiggoth. Must of eaten the thing whole. Rox took no time in shifting up into the over drive gear and punching the turbo. The wheels slipped spinning so fast, but eventually caught the ice. The convoy followed suit. The convoy speed went up to 200 miles per hour. That would put them at the city with 1 minute to spare before night fall.
"Command? Come in Command! This is Vox Call Sign, Kroot, I have survivors under pursuit of an Avida, have a hostage! I repeat, have survivors and hostages!" White noise filled the Radio channel. Rox simply punched the dash board putting a large dent in the metal surface. "You!" The passenger on the lap of another trooper turned to face him. "Put that on repeat and let me know when that thing gets close." The Avida put out a soft and gorgeous call. It made everyone relax for a second as the soothing sound slowly washed across everything. A second responding call washed back over. The sonar was going mad beeping and whistling. A second Avida appeared on the other side of the convoy as ice ripped up and was launched into the air. The creature actually cleared a easy twenty feet when it flew out of the ice. However, it feel very far behind when it landed. The Avida despite their size where extremely fast on the surface of ice using their full friction of their stomachs to push them along. The whale shaped, armored creatures couldnt keep up and were slowly falling behind. Volra's capital came within sight. Then a super dense calming wave of sound erupted over everyone. For a moment Rox swore as time slowed down and the snowy mound which he intended to ramp off of blew up into a whale. Hordes of teeth driving straight at them, and a dark tunnel of purple flesh.
"Oh ZOGGGGGGG!!!!!!" yelled Tim from the roof.
