If all weapons update per the appendix in the back of the 6th ed book, does this mean regular space marine missile launchers have access to this new ammunition as well? The entry in the weapons section is fairly vague on the topic. What ya think?

No, its states in the FAQ for Space marines and their equivalents that they don't get the new missile type. In fact no one got it, which means a unit will mostly have it in a new codex coming out.

Then, they raised prices on the Orks, and I did not speak out because I did not play Orks.
Then, they raised prices on the Nids, and I did not speak out because I did not play Nids.
Then, they raised prices on the Marines, and there was nobody to speak out for me. |

That would have been handy if it were true... but there is nothing in the Space Marine FAQ dealing with missile launchers.
As has been thoroughly hashed out in previous threads, though, they don't get it simply because the rules for Flakk in the rulebook list it as an optional upgrade available to certain units... and Space Marines don't have such an upgrade available to them.
For the moment nobody does.

As Insaniak said. The rulebook tells us it's an upgrade which some units have the option to take. But none of the existing codices grant the option yet.

It's probably a new marketing scheme to get everyone to buy flyers before all the missile launchers get flakk missiles and make them utterly useless.
Kind of what happened to vehicles right now.
Vehicles don't live. At all.
