Grim Rune Priest in the Eye of the Storm
|
I Call this is my Russian themed army mostly form the tactics I will be using, Mass Ifantry Swarms. I am going to be centering the whole army around Commander Chenkov’s Infantry Platoon. I am hoping to add a second platoon at some point.
The Company Command Squad is going to use Straken and a bunch of Flamers assaulting out of a Valkyrie or Vendetta.
Commander Chenkov’s Infantry Platoon is going to mostly use Flamers and Heavy Bolters supported by a Leman Russ Demolisher.
I will also be using a Leman Russ Exterminator and Vanquisher with Pask.
Also included is Guardsman Morbo
Other things to I am planning to add:
A Squad of Ogryn
A Squad of Rough Riders
A Penal Squad made up of Beastmen
Most of the figures I am getting from Prince Albert, the company that now owns all of the Warzone Moulds.
I get 80 figs for about $40. They’re Cheep, but plentiful.
I will start with posting the Pictures of Boskovilrich Pachinko’s Company Command Squad [My Rename of Straken] and the basics of what I am starting with including the start of my Tech-Priest and Guardsman Morbo.

Commander Chenkov’s Infantry Platoon
This is the core of my concept. Currently I am looking at him having a Medic, Plasma Gun and a Heavy Bolter. I am also adding a Commissar with a Power Fist.
5x Standard Squads with Flamers and Heavy Bolters. Each with a Comisar
5x Heavy Weapon Squads with Heavy Bolters.
2x Heavy Weapon Squads with 2 Flamers and a Demolition Charge
1x 50 Model Conscript Squad with “send in the Next Wave lead by a Priest.
Estimated Cost: 1,500+ Points
Currently I only have Commander Chenkov’s Infantry Platoon Command Squad and 1.6 of the Heavy Weapon Squads Built along with 20 of the Conscripts.

Leman Russ Demolisher [M3]
This is my Leman Russ Demolisher Based on a M3 Lee Model.
Being a Diabetic I have all of these Tubes laying about from my needles. So after their use and sanitizing them they are easy to modify for barrels, that’s what I did here. The Barrel is made for one of the “Needle Containers” and crudely glued on. The sponsons are from the “Needle Containers” caps cut into.
I then sniped off the 75mm gun barrel and added a Heavy Flamer for the hull. after that it was painted Metallic Black.
The Bolters are from the old LRC Kit.
Then I started the weathering by Drybushing with a basic brown, then onto a second Drybrush of Bone.
The next plan is to add two Heavy Bolters with some more Needle Parts.
I am also adding a Dozer Blade from a Bulldozer from the Dollar Store.
I will be covering the Demolisher Barrel with cloth covering before finishing it.
I am considering adding a Removable Camo Net.

I could not help myself, I was looking through my Star Wars minis and I just had the though pop in my head.
I had though of getting a Planet Express Ship to use as a Valkyrie, but the cheep one are like $60+, but that’s another army.
I am also using Clone Troopers for my other Guard army as Storm Troopers.
Now all I need is 2 more AS- STs

Leman Russ Exterminator [M3]
This is my Leman Russ Vanquisher Based on a M3 Lee Model.
The Barrel is made from pair of Needle Tubes crudely glued on. The sponsons are from the “Needle Containers” caps cut into.
I then use another Needle Tube for the Vanquisher-Cannon Barrel. After that it was painted Metallic Black.
Then I started the weathering by Drybushing with a basic brown, only to find out I accidently used copper. It looked good so I kept with it.
Then onto a second Drybushing of Bone.
I am still trying to decide wether to add Sponsons or not, if I do they will either be Heavy Bolters or Multi-Meltas.
I will be covering the Vanquishers Barrel with cloth covering before finishing it.
I am considering adding a Removable Camo Net.

Malcador Annihilator [King Tiger]
This is one of the two Malcador Annihilators I have been working on. It is a 1/35 Scale King Tiger Toy. Basically I have replaced the Main Gun with a pair of Needle Tubes and the same for the two other Auto-Cannons. The Demolisher Cannon is made from the Needle Protective Caps. I have not put Primer them yet. I have not decided whether to go with the same as the Russ’s or go a different direction yet.

Conscript Squad: 1st 30 mostly Finished
I have done them Painted like Morian Guard, I have always liked the way they looked.
Ok I have mostly finished the 1st 30 models of 50. all I really need to do is finish touch ups and flock the basses.
From my old modeling days and the fact that I have big clumsy hands I do most of my work wile they are stoll on the trees.
Basically I primer them with Flat White, then painted the jackets Red.
Then the WEB Gear and Gloves are in Brown.
The boots are in Black.
The helmets were done in Copper.
The Backpacks were also done in Brown and then brushed with Bone.
Then I put them on there bases and finished assembling them.
Right now I am trying to decide whether to flock them with Green Grass or White Sand going for the Snow look.
The last picture is of the 30 with my Leman Russ Demolisher.
