Just finished some modelling for my Shas'el Crisis Suit. Used the main crisis suit as a body, as well as parts from the talos kit and the chaos terminator lord kit, as well as a few zombie parts and spikes/blades from DE vehicle set

I like the model, it's well done and everything. Should be a blast to paint. Being somewhat of a fluff nazi though the Tau species is pretty much untouchable by chaos is it not?

I'm currently working on some fluff ideas.

The best I've got is that a fanatic ethereal who heard of the powers of the warp decided to explore and harness anything he could for the greater good of the empire, disagreeing with the rest of the empire and allying his caste with a chaos warband to achieve his goals

I suppose you could invent some technology that connects the caste with the warp...therefore allowing the Chaotic powers to manifest in their bodies...

The model look good.....but please, next time use better light. too much detail covered by shadow!

the tau may not be able to be posesed, but thier technology is a suseptable as any other.

But anyway, that is a really good looking model, any ideas for the colours your going to paint it?

Also, I've made a bodyguard (Shas'vre) and 3 XV22 suits which are shown too

Nice! Chaos Tau, first time I've seen any. Great conversions, mate.

I will give you some good, happy thoughts.

On the old GW site, there was a page for Daemon Hunters enemies. Which included conversions. Which included chaos tau. They are possible. If a demon can possess a tank, a rock, a world, a gun? Those things have less "spirit" than Tau. There is nothing 'stopping' chaos infesting tau in the slightest.

Tau avoid direct warp exposure in transit by 'skimming the warp' rather than 'entering the warp.' Combine this with their weaker psy presence (see following bit) and you can understand why Tau + Chaos is rare....but not impossible in the slightest.

Tau have a significantly less warp presence which makes them less of a target for Chaos. It isn't just the Tau...ever notice in the fluff that Humans caused the great 3 powers to gain their powers? That Eldar created Slaanesh with their own ways?

Eldar & Humans have more psy than other races. Otherwise why else would the books specifically show humanity giving the great 3 more power than any other species in the galaxy?

At the moment I'm thinking that its going to be a cadre from the farsight enclaves that got corrupted by an artifact activated by the sheer bloodshed caused from a war between the orks and a company of Dragon Lord space marines that my cadre went to the aid of (hating orks and all). The tau and SM ally up to locate and crush this new daemonic threat but at a high price, being certain death or hoorendous corruption (like my army displays). Ofcourse the tau can't return to the enclaves in their current state, and the space marines will face extermination from the ordo malleus if they show their faces, so they ally and go about trying to find a cure

awesome stuff, very unique! what did you use for the arms on the claw hands on the stealthsuits?

I used chaos terminator lightning claws and one of the accesories for a talos with the suit with the pitchfork
