Hey, Just working on this little guy I got from a friend to test out my IF scheme that I found online. What do you guys think and how could I improve it?

Imperial Fists are a pain to paint, but man do they look cool when all is said and done.

The yellow is nice and rich, I like it. How did you achieve it?

I don't like the gold eagle on the chest; it seems dull in comparison to the armor. Perhaps red, or silver, would stand out more?

I'd pick out the bolter's strap (maybe a reddish brown), the purity seals wax seals (orange/red?) and the eyes (green?) as well.

I agree with the eagle, needs some oomph, as for the yellow


Black Undercoat
Rakarth Flesh solid coat
Yriel Yellow, two thin coats
Agrax earthshade into recess
Yriel yellow till solid
flash gits yellow highlight
Light wash with Seraphim sepia all over

If yellow is what your going for grab an air brush. After about 5 - 10 tac marines 4 coats + of yellow will drive you bananas.
