Hi there!

I've recently got into making dioramas with my Necrons. The scarabs make a great addition but seem just too plain for me without legs. I've searched online for conversion ideas but find only a few pictures.

I tried cutting the tips of pins but it proves to be quite difficult and doesn't look right on the scarab without a joint in between. I thought about cutting sprue pieces but cutting that small gets to be very difficult (for me at least), and making detail is nearly impossible.

I like what morbäck did here, http://leskouzes.blogspot.com/2011/07/duel-for-gd-germany.html But even with Google translate, he doesn't seem to give an answer on how he created the scarab legs; the front claws are especially intriguing to me

I like morbäck's job better than Fat Tony here, http://necrontyronline.freeforums.org/green-stuff-scarab-swarms-t67.html But I'll take what I can get to make my diorama look more realistic. (They're attacking a Fire Warrior)

Any ideas?? Thanks!

I've decided to go with toothpick tips for the scarab legs. They look pretty good I think; will look a lot better once painted.
