Hi Dakka, I'm currently converting myself up a space marine captain, and I want have a base, that looks like a ruin, but have my captain in 'jumping' pose, does anyone have any tutorials for anything of the sort? Or tips on creating this?

Thanks, Elder.

chop up old sprue material / grind it up to make debris, then PVA glue it to the base. If you want larger blocks of masonry etc for the ruins you might try getting some of the wh40k building kits and then chopping them up.

I have used in my ruin bases, some plaster blocks made by hurst art molds.

Thanks for the advise.

If you have problems tying the base together, then it helps (if you weren't planning on using it already) to mix PVA glue and sand to form some of the rubble, i'll add a picture just to give you an idea, but its not really a debris base as it is a muddy wasteland (but i used parts of the bits sprue's, and a small rock to shape the base).

- If that collage isn't inspiring enough then you can check these pages out for inspiration:

Life is like a box of chocolates. A cheap, thoughtless and perfunctory gift nobody ever asked for. Unreturnable because all you get back is another box of chocolates. So you're stuck with this undefinable whipped mint crap that you mindlessly wolf down because there's nothing left to drink. Sure once in a while there's a peanut butter cup or a English toffee, but they're gone too fast and the taste is fleeting. So you end up with nothing but broken bits of hardened jelly and teeth shattering nuts. If you're desperate enough to eat those all you've got left is a. An empty box, filled with useless brown paper wrappers.
