My recently completed Mordian 4th Armored Division with Auxilliary units. Points as per 5th ed Army Builder stand at 4055.
Theres a bit of fluff behind each image too, so hope you all enjoy

Please note, I still have to upload the heavy support units but need to edit some pics first (2/8/2012).

Imperial Designation: Mordian 4th Armored Division with Auxilliaries
Current Deployment: On route to Avignor, Helican Subsector, Segmentum Obscurus. Travel time 17 days.
Current unit strenght: 95%
Commanded by: Commissar Yarrick
Last contact: 3.999.999.M41

HQ
The Mordian 4th is currently led by the Legendary Commissar Yarrick. He has been detailed to accompany the 4th to Avignor to quell the current Ork attacks there.

Company Command Squad
Squad size: 5/10
Standard armament: Lasguns, Grenade launcher, Meltagun, Flamer, Grenades, CC weapons
Homeworld: Mordian
Transport: Chimera
Directly under Yarrick is the 4ths Command Unit led by Company Commander Apone. Their primary role is Comand and Control duty with a very much strategically focused outlook. However they are well armed to deal with most eventualities. In addition, at times they are bolstered by their Support unit which contains the Company Medic, Standard Bearer, Master of the Fleet and personal Bodyguard for Apone. Their dress is very ceremonial compared to other units but they are fully combat compable nonetheless and wear the Mordian colors with unnmatched pride.

Lord Commissars Ratius and Edacus
Standard armament: Powerfist, Powersword, Bolt pistol, Grenades
Homeworld: Terra
Joining the 4th on their current deployment are Commissars Ratius and Edacus. Their presence was requested by Yarrick, not to oversee the Mordians descipline which is alread legendary but to evaluate their fighting style, record it and disseminate it to other fighting divisions. Apone had originally protested but with the Commissars leaving his units alone for the most part he grudgingly accepted Yarricks arguments.

Psyker battle Squad
Squad size: 5
Standard armament: Laspistols, CC weapons
Homeworld: Dalthus (Calaxis sector)
Not given an unoffical moniker the Psyker battle squad has recently joined the 4th after suspected reports of enemy Psyker activity in their next warzone (primarily Ork Weirdboyz). They are a small elite, unit tasked with affecting enemy squad morale and astropathic communication relays.
Led by Overseer “Bringlode”

Troops
Infantry Platoon Bravo
Squad size: 5/12/12
Standard armament: Lasguns, Grenade launchers, Meltaguns, Flamers, Grenades, CC weapons
Homeworld: Mordian
Transport: Chimera
Bravo platoon is the 4ths Primary ground assault and C&C unit. They are comprised of two 12 man units (a glaring break from standard Imperial Guard doctrine but tolerated by Commissar Yarrick for this campaign) and a command squad.
Led by Sergeant “Elias”

Infantry Platoon Charlie
Squad size: 5/12/10
Standard armament: Lasguns, Grenade launchers, Meltaguns, Flamers, Grenades, CC weapons
Homeworld: Mordian
Transport: Chimera
Charlie Company is currently under strenght due to an ambush at Atha 3 in which Eldar scouts had boobytrapped vast areas of the jungle foliage with mines and killed several members of Charlie. Shandure were currently in another deployment zone and unable to assist.
Led by Sergeant “Rah”

Company Transports
1 X Pattern VII Chimera
2 X Pattern III Chimeras
Manufactured on Mezoa/Idumea
Pattern VII is the 4ths main Command Chimera. It is armed with two Heavy Bolters and a twin linked Bolter for neutralising light enemy infantry. It also carries the Mark V Hunter Killer missile which is wire guided. It bears the Holy Symbol of the Aquilla on its front hull.

The 4th also use two Pattern IIIs when deploying. These are slightly older than the Mark 7 with a single fuel powerplant and larger hull area. They are armed with Mulitlasers and Flamers, equiped to deal with all eventualities. They also carry a Hunter Killer missile albeit the Mark IV which are laser guided to their targets. All three Chimeras have a capacity of 12 and full communication/jamming suites.

Auxilliaries

Ratling squad “Sleeoch”
Squad size: 5
Standard armament: Sniper rifles, laspistols
Homeworld: Ornsworld
One of the few squads under the Mordian 4th allowed to retain their own unit colors, hence their purple camo headwear. They specialise in high priority (heavy) infantry target neutralisation.
Led by Sergeant “Hawkeye”.

Ratling squad “Fullig”
Squad size: 5
Standard armament: Sniper rifles, laspistols
Homeworld: Ornsworld
Sleeochs brothers in arms are squad Fullig and have adopted the standard Mordian colors except for their sergeant Deadeye. They specialise in high priority (heavy) infantry target neutralisation.
Both Ratling units hold the Auxilliary distinction of having never lost a squad member during the last three campaigns.
Led by Sergeant “Deadeye”.

Roughriders squad “Copul”
Squad size: 10
Standard armament: Hunting lances, flamer, meltagun, grenades
Homeworld: Tallarn
Squad Copul were also allowed to use their own colors under the Mordian 4th, although some honor the Mordians by painting their wargear or steads reins in the traditional Mordian dark blue.
Copul specialise in hit and run assault on light enemy fortifications and support structures. Alternatively they are sometimes used effectively as a counter attack squad supporting Shandure.
Led by Colonel “Turas”.

Catachan Veteran squad “Shandure” and Command Squad “Dian”
Squad size: 10/5
Standard armament: Demolitions, Lasguns, Flamer, Meltagun, Grenades
Homeworld: Catachan
Squad Shandure and Dian were incorporated under the Mordian 4th after serving with them on Voxell 9 and proving their worth with their demolition skills.
Shandure were actually given the option to retain their own unit colors (a rare gesture) after their courageous displays at Voxell. However Dian chose to adopt the Mordian colors.
Led by Captain “Crua”.

Fast Attack

Vendetta Gunship “Osprey”
Standard armament: Lascannons and Heavy bolters
Manufactured on Mezoa
Osprey is a dedicated tank hunter, specialising in both light and heavy duty tank hunting.
Piloted by Corporal Ferro, co-piloted by Corporal Spunkmeyer.

Vendetta Gunship “LittleHawk”
Standard armament: Heavy bolters and Hellfury missiles
Manufactured on Het
LittleHawks role is dedicated to neutralising mass light infantry and it usually carries Squad Shandure into battle. Osprey and LittleHawk often vie for the most kills during a battle with Osprey holding the advantage currently due to a precise missile strike on a Chaos cultists outpost (confirmed 27 kills) during the recent “Bear” campaign.
Piloted by Corporal Ichman, co-piloted by Corporal Holywood.

Hellhound tank “Infernus”
Standard armament: Inferno Cannon, Heavy flamer
Manufactured on Mezoa
Unique amongst the Mordian tank units Infernus was granted its name after purifying an overrun Imperial bunker of fourty two Orks on Grakos 4. It was badly damaged during the fight and had to have its engine block completely rebuilt.
Commanded by Corporal Scale.

Scout Sentinel unit “Gasog”
Squad size: 2
Standard armament: Autocannons, HK missile
Manufactured on Mezoa
Only Colonel Strikes Sentinel bears the Mordian division insignia.

Scout Sentinel unit “Bule”
Squad size: 2
Standard armament: Autocannons, HK missile
Manufactured on Mezoa
Fresh off the Het Forgeworld production lines is the Sentinel Scout unit Bule. Their power packs are Mark3, an upgrade from Squad Gasog. Rushed into current deployment they have not been given their 4th Armored markings yet.

Sorry for the two parter to this (broke me own rules!).

Anyway Heavy Support Sections below.

Thanks for the nice comment Element. Yeah the Catas, Riders, Ratlings and HQs are ooooold jobs.
Cadians (repainted to Mordians and tanks are more recent).

Heavy Weapons Squad Delta
Squad size: 8
Standard armament: 5 x Heavy Bolters, Lasguns
Homeworld: Mordian
Delta squad specialise in the use of Heavy Bolters specifcally targetting massed light infantry. They are currently understrenght and await reinforcements after the current campaign finihes.

Heavy Weapons Squad Echo
Squad size: 12
Standard armament: 6 x Lascannons, Lasguns
Homeworld: Mordian
Echo squad are usually tasked with heavy armor neutralisation. However they have proved adept at heavy infantry and monstorous creature killing too. Usually split into 2X6 man fire teams. Their dress is more ceremonial than Brave and Charlie platoons.

Heavy Weapons Squad Foxtrot
Squad size: 10
Standard armament: 5 x Autocannons, Lasguns
Homeworld: Mordian
Foxtrot have proved themselves in battle neutralising light vehicle and aerial threats. They also support Delta should the need arise. Trooper "Blains" non standard issue headgear is tolerated by his superiors due to his canny ability to keep enemy units heavily suppressed

Leman Russ Demolisher Tank
Standard armament: Demolisher cannon, Lascannon, Plasma Cannons
Manufactured on Hesh
Most of the 4ths Heavy Armor is produced on the Forgeworld of Hesh.
The 4ths only serving Demolisher is their main heavy armor Command tank. Its comms relay is internally loaded with tank Commander "Knispel" coordinating assaults from his turret position. Due to its weaponry range it is usually found "directing from the front" and focuses on siege and fortification neutralisation.

Leman Russ Tank Squad
Standard armament: Battle Cannon, Lascannon, Plasma Cannons, Multi Meltas
Manufactured on Hesh
The two Mark XII Leman Russes are usually grouped with the 4ths Demolisher providing an armored spearhead for the group. They carry a mix of weaponry to deal with all eventualities but excel at heavy infantry kills. These are Mars pattern Mark XIIs produced on Hesh.

Griffon Seige Mortar
Standard armament: Siege Morta, Heavy Flamer
Manufactured on Hesh
The 4ths final heavy support unit is the Griffon. It is usally found well back from the front lines where it can shell enemy infantry and light armor. It is a Mark VI variant and open topped.
It is equiped with a heavy flamer should enemy units get too close to it.

What a great army. I was planning a Mordian army before ultimately changing to Praetorians instead, but I still have a fondness for strong-jawed Mordians!

The character imbued into each unit is wonderful. You definitely have an army to be proud of.

Have you seen the new "not" Mordians produced by Victoria Lamb? They are mult-part and would allow you some great conversion possibilities if you ever decide to expand this army.

Thanks for the nice words DT
I hadnt actually seen those minis but wow they would fit in so well.
Unfortunately this army is getting backburnered for a bit (too many Nids lie in wait!).

Lots of good stuff here but those bases are crying out for some flock or gravel or something.
