hey dakka! so i've been trolling the boards for quite a while now gathering up some inspiration and getting a feel for how these are set up. i think i'm ready to commit to my own blog...but i'm gonna need some good feedback and help!

basically, this is a "counts-as" Dark Angels army. i just obtained what i needed to fully fill the FOC. i like the idea of dark angels actually being as their name suggests. so i am giving them all wings instead of backpacks (these won't translate to anything in game play) and making them all robed out and as brutal as possible.

Cool conversion work there! Your "in progress" ones look really good so far! I don't know why, but I think that a Fabius bile model would fit right in with your army (just IMO)

yea i actually converted a fabius bile (you can see him in the back of one of the pics) i gave him a lightning claw and abaddons' sword and a gas mask (just for shiggles) not sure how i'm going to use him, but you're right, he fits right in for some reason thanks!

so, i'm really bad with posting progress, but i am trying to get better. i don't have a "real" camera (i just use my phone) so it's hard to get decent pics and most things aren't clear enough to post.

Taking pictures with your phone? It's a shame they're so fuzzy, they look really cool, but you can't really appreciate the fine stuff. Any more thoughts on the fluff? I really like the choice of chapter name, sounds like there could be a really nice backstory to it. Very funereal.

basically all i have right now for fluff is that they are the angels that protect and fight for those who've been cast out of their respective realms. a rebellious group fighting for what they believe is right despite the Imperium.

originally i had designed this to be a hybrid of CSM and DA, but with how allies work, i realized that these 2 armies would not mesh. :(

so i decided to split them up. now i have 2 big projects :/

i also just got a bunch of bikers that are going to be my "counts as" ravenwing dudes. so now i have to figure out how to mix these guys in, but i'm thinking of doing like a rebel biker gang theme, not sure yet. but here's a look at my pre-greenstuff "counts-as" sammael

figured i would just make them as brutal as possible, giving them all 40 points worth of upgrades each (in some cases more)

i'm thinking blood red robes and a sepia silver for the power armor
