So my GW is doing an escalation league for all game systems. I first was going to do just 40k, but I'm starting my first ever trek into the fantasy world. I'll keep track of my updates here.
pts start at 500 for the month of August, 1000 for September, and 1500 for October.

at 500 pts, a HQ or general is not necessary.
Everything I have right now is either bare plastic, just basecoated, or not even bought/put together yet!
I've started late in the fantasy world, so I probably won't finish my Lizardmen quota for August, but I will get them done asap!

First Lizardman model/first fantasy model ever, Saurus Oldblood:
I'm actually not using him month 1. in month 2 he will be a Scar-Vet and in month three he will either be a Saurus Oldblood or still a Scar-vet, depending on if I use a Slann or not.


Tonight I'm going to finish all my RW bikes for August and then I'll take pics of them, the objective marker and the finished display board for my DA.

Saturday I am buying the Lizardmen battalion box and then I will begin the daunting task of finishing about 40 Lizardmen in one week.
After that I will be rewarded with another month, more models to paint! I'll be swithching back and forth from painting the DA to the LM between every unit to keep me sharp and to avoid potential insanity from painting so many little blue lizards at one time.

Well tomorrow is the end of the first month. So I'll post the 500 pts I've finished.
My Dark Angels 500 pts is completely finished but bc I just got my lizardmen last week, they only have all their primary colors, I still have a lot of detail to do on them.

I'm a bit lost on what to do with my Lizardmen bases and movement trays, do any of you out there have any ideas what I should do?

Anyways, so last Saturday was our 500 pts showcase. My Dark Angels won best themed, best based, and best objective marker. I got close for best painting.
I've also managed to win 3 games and tie the fourth, so I am currently sitting at the top of this league.

I got to play my second fantasy game ever Saturday as well. I actually beat the skaven into the ground, despite the dreaded thirteenth spell almost wiping out a big Saurus block.

With the help of texture and dry GW citadel paints, I've figured out a great way to do the lizard bases. My block of Saurus warriors are almost done, I promise pics later.

I also got dark vengeance, so some of those terminators are going to join in my army. I also converted my own terminator apothecary. I sculpted him a robe and then tore apart a regular apothecary and used his bits to modify the terminator.
