They have pva glued sand on them with chaos black undercoat, and a few coats of old citadel line paints on them. The greens/metals. Just as a suggestion, have you thought about a blue wash on the green skin?

why a blue wash?, my plan is to follow the ebook How to paint evil sunz orkz scheme.

If you do a blue wash into the nooks and crannies on his arms and face ext.... then you highlight the raised areas with a green it will make it really pop.

Its not by any stretch of the imagination a necessary step.
