Why should it have changed in the 6th edition? Cover saves have been reduced but not invulnerable saves.

Look at the updated rules. It's a 5++ save. They only possess the Daemon rule now, and no other modifications to that save.

According to CD's FAQ,"Add the following army special rule to the Daemonic Forces Page:Every model in the codex:chaos deamons army list has the fear special rule".I think the rule book's deamon rule is not for CD.
CD still follow codex's rule,sv=invulnerable save,so flamers and screamers don't have invulnerable save.

I've been playing it as the Daemon rules from both books apply. So for invul saves, if no save is listed in the codex entry (as is for Flamers and Screamers) you get the default 5++. I cannot believe that they meant to remove invuls from these units.

Ditto.

I think GW made a giant typo in the WD booklet by forgetting to put an actual 5+ under the 'Sv' colum. It's non-sensical to think that all of a sudden Flamers and Screamers for example only 'cause fear' and lose out on everything else!

I've actually had the one TFG at the local store who's tried to insist that now those units only cause fear, but no longer have an invuln and no more eternal warrior.

I'd say it's a typo, and RAW currentl;y they would have the 5+

In the future, expect them to have 4+ again, as in the WD it talks about them having a better save than most daemons.

I am not convinced it is a typo. The Special Rule gives them a baseline, minimum of 5++ save, that the rules in the Daemon codex add to. The only place they conflict is the actual save, which is 5++ if you don't have a save on the statline, and better than that if you do.

There are three ways to play this.

1) They have the rule from the Codex, not the BRB. This gives them the ability to deep strike via Daemonic Assault but no save.

2) They have the Daemon rule from the BRB, not the Codex. They have a 5++ but must be deployed as normal as they don't have Daemonic Assault.

3) GW messed up! Play as if they have a 5++, Daemonic Assault, Fearless, Daemonic Rivalry, and Fear.

GW aren't making good rules lately. But in this case you can infer it from Codex Chaos Daemons:

DAEMON
This special rule applies to every model in this army and includes the following four special rules:
Fearless[... ]

Every model has the Daemon rule (5++ and fear) which in the case of Chaos Daemons includes 4 sub-rules.
