Hey all,

I have an Ahriman model primed up and ready for me to start painting, but I'm not sure what his correct color scheme is.

The most common schemes seem to be:

The latter is the one GW has on their website.

Are one of these the actual scheme, or is it something else entirely? Or is there really no canon scheme for the guy?

I checked the WD when it first came out in October 1996 and it has a technicolour job... seeing is believing. I don't know the fluff very well and haven't read the recent HH book but I thought he was supposed to have been thrown out the TS so there is no particularly good reason to have him in blue and gold like the rubric marines and the red helmet seems an appropriate throwback to the loyalist legion. But it's your miniature, paint it how you think it looks best.

Well, he probably changes his outfit every single day, so no matter how you paint it, it will be correct...

I don't like Tzeench stuff painted in primary colors. Far too boring for Tzeench.
If you are going to use blue, color shift it ever so slightly towards purple or blue green. For red, shift the color towards red orange or red violet. For yellow, shift just a little towards yellow orange or yellow green. Shifting the color a just bit makes people have to think about what color it really is; make it subtle (like Tzeench!).

Searching Google Image for Ahriman brings up lots of images.

Tim
