isn't listed on the Games Workshop website. Weird. Does that mean that the 2010 Compendium isn't really legal if playing in a GW store or tournament?

I'd really like to know because I want to start using the Space Marine Fortress-Monestary battle station and it's only in the 2010 Compendium.

If you can find a GW tourny its probably not allowed. That said the rules are fan made but pretty much everyone i have seen allows the 2010 faq including at stores, always check with your opponent tho.

Not completely true.
It was made by the bfg rule committee, who have been responsible for rulebook 1.5 and the ships of mars rules on the gw websiTe.
The community was involved and consulted, which is good.

Gw is just crap for not using it. I mean they are selling models and have no rules for them!
