We painted these up for a commission and really liked the way they came out!

We're always taking new commissions and our prices are very reasonable! Check us out at: http://www.frontlinegaming.org/custom-terrain/paint-service/

Awesome minis! I absolutely love that tone of red you've achieved!

Nice work. Amazing red. Any chance you could tell us what colours you used?

Thanks! And we have a studio with about a dozen painters, I actually didn't paint these myself, but I will ask the artist and get back to you guys.

That is a fantastic red. I went with the old school bright red for my BA army but this looks much nicer.

I often find that commission work leaves chapter and squad insignia off, in the case of Frontline is that usually at the request of the customer? It never fails to irk me when there are decals available for a chapter but the shoulder pad is left blank, must be my OCD!

Those appear the same ones that Herr Wiggles posted on his blog, so I'm sure if you ask there you could possibly get a faster response on the colors used!

Definitely some great work.

Ha, he did indeed repost them! Yeah, you can ask Herr Wiggles, he's a nice guy and he can tell you the reds he used, himself!

@Overwatch

We do exactly what the client asks unless they give us creative license. Usually we choose to freehand the insignia as it is typically faster and looks better, unless it is a really difficult symbol to paint.

They looks awesome, though they seem a little flat for what you had to work with. I think you should at least edge the armor if not do some blending work.

I figured as much. Have you ever tried using Micro Sol and Micro Set for decals? It works really well and if you do it right they look painted on when finished. Then again you guys can probably free hand an insignia faster than using the Micro system

@baseballchu

Thanks, and blending would have been awesome, but these were commission work and they client actually got a bit more than he paid for. If this had been a level 3 job (our highest level) we certainly would have done some blending as I agree that it would really have finished these off.

@Overwatch

I actually have not used them although I have heard they work great. We will have to try it out!
