Are you asking whether "Smells Like Wargaming" is trustworthy? I had to read that a few times to work it out.

No idea myself, but the title didn't draw me in to reply. Id just looked odd.

They're a sponsor of the Independent Characters podcast.

That's all I know about them.

That's 5 seconds of your life the OP has STOLEN from me! I want those five seconds back! Oh screw it I'd probably waste them anyways

Anyways, being serious now, I'd be careful with commissions, i've seen way too many people screwed by them. But if you're intent on getting one, this site seems legit.

Glad to see I'm being talked about around the interwebs!

For your information Harry Luke, I have a very nice list of very happy clients from around the world, from Australia to Great Britain!
A little information on myself if you don't know about me, I'm a 21 year old freelance commission artist and senior art student in SW Colorado, and I also work at my FLGS. Being a student, a lot of my time is taken up with school, but painting armies and models is my passion, and I like to treat everyone's army as if I was working on my own pieces.

If you have any other questions sir, please drop me an email at SmellsLikeWargaming@hotmail.com, message me on the SLW Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/SmellsLikeWargaming, or just check out my portfolio on my ++Commissions++ page here: http://smellslikewargaming.blogspot.com/p/commissions.html

Thanks for spreading the Smelly Word,

As far as "Smells Like Wargaming" goes.. this guy is totally legit.. I shudder to think how much money I've actually thrown his way. You can check out my blog at http://www.tabletopwar.net/ a lot of the models seen there were painted by him. Specifically, the Neverborn Malifaux models, 40k "Green Knights", and numerous others. He also helped us with our Charity Event, The Breachside Benevolence Ball. So, Yea, You will have no issues working with this Gentleman.. I've been doing it hassle-free for years now and I can't recommend him enough.

SLW was kind enough to paint my daemon army for Adepticon 2011. Service was fast, pictures were posted to show progress, army was packed well, SLW even converted some of my miniatures for me and fixed some of my attempts, gratis.

However, Granesh is an artist, so I think my current army of dayglow marines offends his sensibilities.

I will echo the sentiments of those above, especially Snake-Eyes comments....

...especially since those are my Malifaux Neverborn Models and my Green Knights that he painted....

...he has also painted a Chaos Space Marine Army and many Necrons for MonsterRain

Smells like Wargaming is so awesome that I cannot properly describe it in text.

Have Granesh paint your stuff. You won't be disappointed.

SLW is made of win and awesome. I haven't commissioned from them but he's a "local" (in the state wide sense of the term) and we've shot the gak on facebook enough that I know the following.

1. He's a cool guy who's truly passionate about painting and wargaming
2. I hate his incredible skill and talent for painting minis and making it look freaking easy.

If I was going to commission an army for paint SLW would be my first and last stop.

I beg of you sarge let me lead the charge when the battle lines are drawn
Lemme at least leave a good hoof beat they'll remember loud and long

They are a sponsor of our show - and we have never heard anything but positive responses and feedback about them. We are extremely sensitive to anything that would be considered negative commentary about one of our sponsors, and we only take on sponsors that do work/provide services/sell products, that we ourselves would purchase.

Glad to hear so many supportive responses about SLW - but it doesn't surprise me in the least.
