Hey guys!

Finally getting around to working on my latest project.

I've got the head and body base-coated with Vallejo Chocolate Brown, with some shading on the head from German Camo black brown.

Feedback always appreciated. Updates will be posted as they're finished.

I'm assuming this will be painted in the same scheme as the Trygon (Prime?) in your gallery? If so, I can't wait to see it finished.

Also, based on what I saw with the Trygon, try to be a little bit cleaner when highlighting the brown. It lets down an what would be a pretty impressive paintjob.

That's what I'm going for this time around, although for some reason that picture shows the layering much clearer than in real life, not sure why. I blame hi-def pictures.

Some updates of the tail end. Biggest problem I'm having right now is a way to take decent photos... so if anyone has tips, I'm open to hear them. As always, feedback appreciated!

Next round of updates. Shading almost done on body and legs, with only the forelegs left to finish.

Okay, next update... not a very big one because the first layer of highlighting is giving me trouble...

I'm using VMC chocolate brown as a base, and wanted to use US field drab for the first highlight... it wasn't great, and I ended up painting over it. Next I tried a mix of the base with Stone gray, and that turned out a bit better... I think.

I'm considering using VMC english uniform to bridge the gap, but I'm not sure. Thoughts, comments, concerns, help is appreciated. Oh, and I'm sorry for the pictures... that was with me covering it with my hand, no flash... and it still came out very washed out. Not sure how to fix it.

Some more work on the tervi. Foot, smoothed out the leg, tail, and ribs. I'm finding this slow method working better for my shading rather than trying to do it all at once... though looking back on this log I'm trying not to think about how many weeks it's been, since I only get to paint one day out of the week on average. As always, comments and critiques welcome.
