As some of you may know I'm a huge fan of the TMNT. Grew up on the old cartoon and got hooked again with the 2003 series. Years later and it's still my favourite franchise. I was very sceptical about the new show Nickeloden worked on and some things rubbed me the wrong way in the first few episodes, but now I really dig it.

The style takes some getting used to and the Kraang remind me too much of the droids in the Star Wars prequels but there are some things that work really weel. First of, the Turtles have never been portrayed as this young over the course of a series. A few flashbacks here and there, but this is the first time they really come across as teenagers. This gives us some interesting new takes on the characters (I really like how Raph comes off as a bully with a soft side he has trouble hiding) and Splinter has never been a better father figure.
The action also flows really good. Some of the combat scenes are among the best the franchise has ever seen.

What are your thoughts on the new show? Like it? Hate it?

To be honest, the graphics from that picture look awful-I'd never watch it. I may, however, listen to it as I paint or build figures if the story is good enough.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.
