That's quite a specific theatre of war for two chunky books.

Out of curiosity, do people generally like to concentrate on a single battle area for their collections or aim for a wider range?

From my personal experience it varies. I know some people who buy generic stuff i.e. T-34s, Tigers 1E, STUGs, etc. so that they can be used in as many lists/eras as possible.

They're updates to the A Bridge Too Far and Hell's Highways books, as well as additional generic forces and what looks like the 11th Taurus Pursuant (although I'm sure a lot of those Kampfgruppes will be variations on Morale and Training).

As I can't speak for other people, I know my Late War British and Germans are very much bent towards forces found in the Normandy campaign and Market-Garden.

I think if what I was told is true, it will cover allied forces from September to December in Northern Europe ( much as the bulge trilogy cover the area further south in that period)

As a Brit para player I'm very very excited, and look forward to some new (and hopefully cheaper) para lists!

Bizzarely I try and make lists which can be easily altered to be lists from other theatres/battles. My current German list I'm working on is a panzgren list which with a few option changes should cover, Normandy, Italy, west and east fronts

That's what I'm trying to do with my army (building the first pieces now). I'm even planning on going so far as to magnetize the Panzerfausts in my units so that I can easily switch them to Panzerknackers for mid war.

BTW, Reaver, I'd be really interested in seeing what you've collected so far!

They look cool and all but it would be nice if Battlefront spread some love around instead of concentrating on the Western Front. Maybe that Barbarossa book that was supposed to be out in August....

Well in terms of western front i think Battlefront is tapped out, their next western front books will probably cover the period from Bulge to surrender, my guess is that will come in three: rhine crossings, breakthrough at the gothic line/wrap up of Italy and the final book covering whatever is left through to Elbe Day.

It wasn't that long ago that Grey Wolf and Red Bear came out, and those were both Eastern Front compilations. Plus there's Eastern Front for Mid War and they spent a lot of time on the Bagration campaign. Not to mention Mid War and Early War North Africa and Mediterranean books, of which there are several.

Walchren Commando List? YES PLEASE!!!

I would suggest it was no different to say NUTS. The Northern Flank of the allied advance with the British Attacking through the Low Countries, including the Walchren Campaign, the stuggle for Antwerp, Market Garden etc. It does cover a good period with a significant amount of operations and lots of troops.

So from this I can see that BF will be revisiting alot of the older books and expanding them, incorporating .pdfs etc from the Website.

Collecting Forge World 30k????? If you prefix any Thread Subject line on 30k or Pre-heresy or Horus Heresy with [30K] we can convince LEGO and the Admin team to create a 30K mini board if we can show there is enough interest!

Great. Now im going to have to spend 85 dollars to make sure my force is still legal. Just great.

Nice set of books but i am going to have to pass on this one.I just want more list for the GErmans for the Ardenness Campaign.Sorry but i think BF did a crap job on the lists for the books. My fav is that KG Pieper doess not get any Volks. They should have kept that Norwind section and GAve us more NAzis list. Sorry just a little upset about the whole 12 and 2nd SS not getting a update. But my paras got a nice over haul,Just stuck it to my Glider boys after i went and bought 10 75 mm Howitzers.

You know that Battlefront does not invalidate their old books, don't you? You could use books from V1 if you want.
