An easy way to ad depth on metal is to use a wash. For silver/metal I would recommend a black wash, if you use GW colors that is nuln oil.

The metallic paints are also exceptionally thick, I can't tell if it's on as thick as it looks, or if it's just the picture. Another tip to keep in mind is that you can water down your metallic paints to thin them out and apply them much more smoothly.

Follow it up with some washes and a final highlight layer and you'll have a much more defined looking piece.

So bearing that in mind, it's looking okay, colours seem quite neat. If you do touch it up some more post the changes so we can see the progress.

Thank you for the advise guys I will work on that on my next model and if I can figure out a way to get it evened out I will do some repair work.

I think the problem was that I used a spray on basecoat, then I used silver as the primary coat, then I coated on a darker (almost oily silver to make the metal look corrupted, or well used), then I swabbed on I think it was Mithril silver, then I dry brushed Necron compound over certain areas.

You are right it is VERY thick, I tried to handle that by using smaller amounts on my brush and spending more time rubbing it over a larger area.

Thanks again for the advice and the support.

Suggestion. Basecoat black, paint whole model boltgun, nuln oil. Drybrush boltgun.

Massive difference.

Then pick out detail.
