The blue is a bit darker than Ultramarines normally are maybe?
They all look very good though, especially the lenses on the vehicles. Is the 'nid being stepped on by the Chaplain? Good luck for your contest too.

I like the darker blue. It's how Ultras were first painted.

I think adding some grass to the display base would help unify it even more with the minis. Good stuff all around.

Thanks all!

I liked the darker blue better on the ultras so thats why I painted them that way.

Is the 'nid being stepped on by the Chaplain?
Thats true but there is anotherone hiding on the displayboard somewhere. (the pics are quite blurry now but if you look closely you can see it)

The tyranid is in the first pic, on the left hand outcrop sticking his head outside of the cave. Nice painting by the way!

The darker blue looks so great on Ultramarines.

Marneus Calgar is referred to as "one of the Imperium's greatest tacticians" and he treats the Codex like it's the War Bible. If the Codex is garbage, then how bad is everyone else?

The blue looks very dark. I almost thought that they were supposed to be Crimson Fists for a second. No real flaw with your work though. Great stuff. You seem to be into really heavy weathering, and you seem pretty good at it, although I'm not a connoisseur of weathering, though, since I personally don't like it. (I think the majority of wargamers do though, unless I misremember the last poll I saw on the subject.) You seem like you have a lot of skill though, so I'm sure you'll get some good response from observers. Great stuff!

I prefer the darker blue on Ultramarines. It especially fits with the gritty, battle-worn look you went for.
