Hi Dakkanauts, I have a really big problem here. There will be a New Year's Tournament starting next week, with a different and eccentric organizer, at the LGS. His unconventional rules have completely messed up my regular 1500 pt IG list, so I really need some ideas. The relevant (i.e. fuzzy) rules are:

-Strict WYSIWYG. No proxies.
-FW is not allowed.
-Allies are not allowed. (!)
-Conversions are not allowed (!!)
-Even for units in the original codex, you HAVE to use the GW model. If there is none, you can't use it. Models from earlier editions are acceptable.

I have asked the organizer specifically about Vendettas, and they are not allowed. Veterans and co. are allowed. I see the contradiction and I really hate the rules, but there is a shopping spree reward that I don't want to miss. So how do I make a good list?

Here is my current idea:

CCS (3 plasma guns, Vox-caster) - 100 pts

Elites
Marbo - 65 pts

Troops
Infantry Platoon - 265 pts
PCS (4 flamers) - 50 pts
IS (flamer, LC) - 70 pts
IS (flamer, LC) - 70 pts
IS (flamer, LC, Vox-caster) - 75 pts

Infantry Platoon - 265 pts
PCS (4 flamers) - 50 pts
IS (flamer, LC) - 70 pts
IS (flamer, LC) - 70 pts
IS (flamer, LC, Vox-caster) - 75 pts

Fast Attack
Valkyrie Squadron (2 Valkyries, LC, MRP - 290 pts) (I have to bust the LCs off two Vendettas to do this... But where else can I get AA?)

Heavy Support
Leman Russ Squadron (2 Exterminators, HHB, HB sponsons) - 340 pts
Manticore - 160 pts

Total 1495 pts

I could replace the Manticore with a LR Demolisher or give some commander melta bombs to play with to get rid of the final five points.

I do feel bad about this list, and I badly need some ideas for improvements, I've never felt so insecure heading into a tournament for a long time.
