I will be seriously dead from sleep deprivation if i get it all painted by the third haha.
Update for last night/ this morning.
I have got one of the russ's, the basilisk and the baneblade going with the main colour and gunmetal.
The scouts have been built and base coated.
4 of the speeders are built and primary coloured, the final one has the main body finished.
Plan fro this evening, finish building the final speeder, get the scouts primary colours (black and the fang, lovely and easy) on, slap more paint onto the
ig tanks im currently rolling through and prep the other russ for spraying. I'd also like to do some more on the hellhammer, but there is a problem. The hell' was acquired at a very reasonable price second hand, it was either a) built by either a intoxicated, ill educated moron or b) a coked up badger with a fetish for superglue. Alas i will never know, but i do know that there are a lot of the smaller parts missing, including the sponsons, turret parts, front heavy botler turret, all the viewing hatches and portals and lots of other little details. So I am forced to either say it inst a complete model (and it doesn't play) or I battle damage the sweet living empra out of it. This is proving to be time consuming
If anyone has any suggestions for quick and easy battle damage please do pipe up.
Otherwise it will be build the final three boxes of fenrisian wolves and the 4 assault marines I've got waiting. That will almost completely fill up the battle company requirements, and they out comes the spray
Paint long and hallucinate off glue fumes

For the
IG Armour I am going for a desert camo theme, with Balor Brown and Baneblade brown being the main colours. My current painting stragey goes thus:
Basecost black with Humbrol acrylic spray.
Spray entire model with Humbrol acrylic yellow spray.
Use big flat brush to apply lots and lots of Balor brown.
Add banbelade brown as appropriate.
The problem im having here is that the Humbrol yellow spray has a gloss finish, making it very very hard to get the first couple of costs of balor to stick, or have any kind of colour consistency.
My question is this, as the yellow spray is ineffective, and painting the brown over the black takes just as long, what should I do to speed this up? I feel that i should mention that i do have the
GW flamer spray gun thingy, but so far have been met with absolutely no suscess in helping me paint.
