Been working on a few conversions and the like's recently and i really need some assistance from the dakkadakka community in my latest piece.
The model in question is 50% necron cryptek (when my friend needs to use a GW friendly one, his last one looks sweet but gw has a QQ about the legs he used as they werent gw product) and 50% an other-worldly figure that will shroud over one of my librarians or captain's haunting them.

The left side is what i have put together already [far from a finished model, needs some gaps filled and some plastic filed down] and on the right is an idea i had, a large protruding metal spine coming out of the cloak and then dipping back in. as far as the spine goes i can dig it into the model or just put ontop (really shouldnt make too much of a difference when painted up) or i could downsize the spine and make it less in your face and a little closer to the model.
I won't lie, i like the model like it is now, but i feel it needs just a little more added to it, but i am scared that if i take the latter option i will ruin what i have done so far and have to start over.

So please comment and criticise too if you want too

I'm also adding a poll option for those too lazy to write back

I think it looks great without the spine. Very menacing, almost more menacing because of how mysterious and not outwardly dangerous it looks. The big spine is a little goofy and detracts from the model.
