G'day

I don't really paint skin, it's not something I've ever been attracted to, though I'm painting up my first Hellbrute and am wondering what skin tone to go for that will suit the rest of the colour scheme without detracting from it.

I'd prefer suggestions that use GW paints, as I have a good number of these. Whereas if I need to buy more I can run into my flgs tomorrow to pick more up instead of having to pay more delivery than I do for the paint if I order, for example, Vallejo online.

Thanks for your time!

Si

On my regular Iron Warriors and Obliterators I used the Citadel Agrax Earthshade and then Army Painter Dark Tone. However, I paint the faces of my Iron Warriors in Cadian Fleshtone instead of the dead looking flesh I've seen others do. My reasoning is that my army spends a lot of time around forges and foundries a lot.

Hey man,

I've looked through your gallery - looks good!

Would you mind posting a picture here with an example of the skin tone that you're most happy with?

My camera is kind of crappy, so I'm sorry for the quality. The champion on the right is a little too dark, I used Nuln Oil on him before I began using the Army Painter Dark Tone. I also used Nuln Oil on the Obliterator, because I wanted his flesh to appear oily and greasy almost as if he was some sort of living machine (I know, that sound preposterous). Good luck!
