These are the models of the Grot Rebellion, a 4,000+ pt. Imperial Guard Army for 40K. The armies overall theme is based on my idea of an epic-ly cunnin' grot assistant to the great Orkameiades by the name of Snotcrates. Hearing of a lightly guarded I.G. supply base that had been overlooked by his Ork overloards, Snotcrates gathered together all the ammo, oilers, medic, and every runt he could find. With the promise of an easy fight and great rewards, they joined by the hundreds. The battle was almost pitiful. A backwoods outpost with only 2 tanks and a plane? The sea of grots covered them before most were awake. But the suppy had more than tanks and guns....It had books. Snotcrates read through the field manuals and learned of something called Disaplin'. This "Disaplin" won them several other small victories, and, as word of there successes began to spread, they were eventually joined by a mercenary band of dwarves("They loan us their plane, and even "Requazishun" us out special weapons as needed. Right military like, those grots. And we don't have to stare them in the crotch, nice that") Along with a band of rouge ratlings.("Shorties Unite!"), and you end up with a force that can march stiff-backed under a 4 foot wire and nobody's hat gets knocked off........

The army is Imperial Guard, but the theme is The Great Grot Rebellion, so every model in the army
has been heavily converted. The Valkyrie can be either the Valkyrie or the Vendetta with all options(magnetics), and the 2 grot gunners on either side can be swung out
to their magnetized positions for the H.B. option. The models can be used any way you like, I simply listed them here this way by their unit markings(they all have
them). There are enough Heavy Weapons Platforms to fill Two full platoons. By making the 3rd platoon a second platoon command, and using squads 3 & 4 for the second
platoon, you can then use the 15 Mortar teams. A large number of the grots are the older metal ones.

I hope these pics upload, there pretty big. Here are some close-ups of the Vendetta /Valkyrie. The gunners swing out into their positions and lock in place magneticallly. I wish I could face your Marines, but sadly, this thread is actually more of my tribute. This army is on Ebay and already has a bid. I love this army and it took 3 months to paint, but when your car breaks down......I just wanted people to see what I had done before it's gone. And thanks.

Would love to see more close ups of infantry models.

Also, your plane is a little...neat. Grots are just as Orky as Orks, so at least have a few mis-matched plates and scratches. Some grots hanging off the side would be amazing.

But either way, nice work! Lots of patience needed for this, I applaud your sanity (or lack there of! XD)

The correct question is, would I be enjoying this hobby if I did this?

The correct audience is you.

This is a work of genius. Sorry to hear you have to let it go.

Marneus Calgar is referred to as "one of the Imperium's greatest tacticians" and he treats the Codex like it's the War Bible. If the Codex is garbage, then how bad is everyone else?

Here are some more of the pics of them. Really didn't Orkify any of the vehicles because of the overall theme of the army. I see them as being really into the "Disaplin" thing and trying to act like a soldier. To me, Snotcrates is a powerful speaker, able to hold sway over the other Grots. I'd like to post more pics of the core infantry and Hvy teams later today. Thank you all for your comments and compliments.
