Amidst the blue skies, a link from past to future. The sheltering wings of the protector...

So, I've been letting the valkyrie that I, quite frankly, lucked into just sit around for a while, and only recently found some time to start painting it. Now, this Valkyrie I have is "special". It's been handed down through quite a few players, and has been dinged up a little in the process (infact, I've had to replace an entire wing!), but it is also the only Valkyrie I will ever own and field in the foreseeable future, so I thought I'd give it a paintjob worthy of the greatest aces to give it new life.

At first I'd thought I'd do the red baron, as Manfred VonRichtofen is arguably the best known fighter ace, and has a very recognizable paint scheme. But the all-red paintjob left me cold, and I realised, if I was going to make this model awesome, I'd have to do it for me.

Enter Yellow-13. The "antagonist" of Ace Combat 04. While he is a strong character that played a memorable part in the game's story, his paint scheme is also fly.

So, after the first few coats, the yellow is coming along quite nicely, and the lines are coming out clean. But I still have to spray the white on the nose. After that, it's on to the shades-of-grey camo. Any advice, as usual, is very much appreciated!

Also, this is my first time doing a blog thingy, so I'll make it easy for you guys. Since the paintjob is from Ace Combat 4, I'll post a few bonus images of the crisis suits I'm working on if I get four posters!
