I just recently picked up some flow aid and matte medium to experiment with. When it comes to things like this I like to dive in and get a feel for it. I tested them on this model point out any obvious mistakes to help me out.

I'd love to help you out on this, but I really would like to see more than just the front of the model, and also not have to turn my head to an odd angle to look at it. I don't use flow aid, but I do use matte medium, I love the transparency it adds to the paint without ruining the coverage.

Sorry I posted this on my phone and rotates it for some odd reason. The medium helps to blend colors for me and the flow aid makes some paints less uncooperative.
