So having grown tired of having standard Cadians as my Imperial Guardsmen I started a search for some new models that I actually liked. Well I decided on the Defiance Games UAMC models:
Now since this is for 40k I had to search for special weapons. I planned on just using the $10 for 5 meltas and plasmas, but an add for Anvil Industries caught my eye and I checked them out.
So here are the Meltaguns:
And the Plasmaguns:
so I placed my order today for both the guns and the UAMC marines and now have to wait to receive them.

So another project I'm working on is a Chaos Space Marine army. It is called the Knights of Redemption. The thing is, rather then the stereotypical spiky marines, they are masquerading as a legitimate Imperium chapter. Only the Chapter Master, the company captains, and the veterans of the First Company even know that they serve Tzeentch. So I'm using Vanilla marines as the models. Plus I'm converting my old Imperial guardsmen to be Acolytes of Redemption. So basically cultists.

If you don't mind going outside of GW to get cool infantry models for your IG, look into Pig Iron Productions' "Near Future Infantry" line. I thought about using them for a few squads of mechanized infantry or something. Good looking kit, but the weapons leave a little to be desired.
(if hotlinking is a no-go please correct me)
I'm curious to see what you come up with. Good luck!

So here are some of my Knights of Redemption. It is a Chaos Lord on a Bike and in Power Armor. A Sorcerer in Power Armor, and a Sergeant in Power Armor.

Well due to something my marines will be in tomorrow and I'll post some pictures of the unboxing. Also my Anvil Industries Fusion Rifle and Ion Rifle bits came in. I've posted a picture with the Ion Rifle on Top, and the Fusion Rifle on bottom with a Boltgun in the middle for scale, and then a picture showing both sides of the two guns. The Fusion Rifle is going to be my Meltaguns, and the Ion Rifle will be my Plasmaguns.
