Thanks for the update and pics, Orlando. I'll keep watching to see if they continue to improve/send out dodgy product. (I wouldn't have accepted those bases).

Sadly I've got to post an update to the above review

I've spent today tidying up the casts an removing the minor mould lines and casting stubs and have encountered an annoying problem

just under the surface of the casts are a load of small bubbles revealed as I've worked on them so I'll have a far bit to do with liquid greenstuff before I can undercoat them

(if you don't bother cleaing up mould lines etc ignore this complaint it's not going to effect you)

not a deal breaker and I still don't feel I've overpaid but certainly annoying

(I'll edit this into the review)

Okay, got my order. It actually came in over the weekend, but due to missing the post and stuff getting in the way, I didn't get it until tonight.

Anyway, I got two sets, the Heavy Biker and the bunker/turret Mk. II combo w/heavy bolters.

Here's the bike

I know there's a lot of flash on there, but it's damn thin and easy to remove. As far as I could tell, there's no major defects and no miscast parts. There were a few air bubbles on the underside, but not an issue as A)not going to be visible due to being on the bottom and B)it's easily fixable.

Here's the turret set

again, pretty clean cast. Not nearly as much flash here, mostly just around the rim of the bunker base and the turret mount. There is only one minor defect with it, and that's the hatch for the turret.

You can see it looks a little rough. The hatch is slightly warped, which is fixable and there's a defect on that edge there. It's fixable though.

Overall, the castings are really good. One slightly warped part with a messed up edge is not a deal breaker for me. I'm generally pleased with my purchase. I'm going to assemble the motorcycle tomorrow after it's had a good 24 Simple Green bath and I'll post a picture of it for you guys. I think once I get my next paycheck, I might finally bite the bullet and grab the Striker Armors. Maybe by then those knight helmets will be out, too.

At $1 more than bog standard Cadians, I beg to differ!

I'm not so sure that GW is the best comparison for fair pricing.

Does anyone want to make a new PW thread and keep the title updated seeing as the company rep hasn't been on Dakka for about a year? It would make a lot more sense no?

I can clearly see a sniper rifle on the guy kneeling in front, dude on the far right looks like he might have a flamethrower attachment on his rifle. The guy on the far left looks like he might have a different weapon as well, possibly some sort of plasma rifle?

Well I suppose I could! I don't follow them on Facebook but I would be more than happy to keep the title updated and whatnot. I'll whip up a new thread once I'm home.

That latest shot of the troopers is awesome btw.
