Started working on re-assembling my old Dark Angels Army that has been boxed and put aside since third ed. decided that I really wanted to try my hand at updating Azrael, since I have a soft spot for the figure as one of my favorite characters, but he hasn't had a new model since the 90's. Figured I would start with that. It's more of a kit bash than anything else, but I did sculpt a lion's heal pauldron and a lion cloak pieces out of greenstuff to try to update him to a favored son of the Lion. Still very much WIP but here's the dry fit. I tried to incorporate bits from the Ravenwing and the Deathwing and there will be a lot of other little details when it's done like feathers, texture to the armor under neath. Toying with the idea of adding brass workings to the leg. I kept the original gun and built an arm out of green stuff for it from the elbow to shoulder because it is so unique, and I didn't really want to try to remake it.

Its a good scuplt on the lion head but it is way to big. IMHO
