This started as a single army, but has turned into a project log to track and inspire myself to keep building.
At a young age (pre-high school I) was introduced to Warhammer 40k 3rd edition. I was and still am more of a hobby enthusiast than a gamer.
I stopped playing for a number of years until recently started the gaming side and enjoy table top more than video games. I have played two main armies but am expanding my collection.

I want to track my progress, and gain knowledge from the DakkaDakka Community of gamers.

Chaos Space Marines: War Hounds V Legion - Khorne Bezerkers led by Kharn, with Terminatros and Land Raiders
It will be my first army, the goal is to have 1850pts of tabletop quality troops. The color scheme will be based around a White and Blue theme.

Chaos Space Marines: Plague Marine Space Wolves -> book inspired

Dark Eldar Flotilla: Kabal Army

Painting has always been tough on me, I am too critical towards myself.. Its the unnoticeable mistakes and custom color schemes that have always ended my projects in the past.

The Khorne marine unit has been my biggest priority, i have started basecoating it.
I picked up a few paints this week, still havent decieded which color blue or green to go with for my CSM color.

Painting is alot more fun than i antificapted.

Spent some time organizing today, and started filling out a Dakka Vows tracker.
Doesnt look like much has been completed, guess ive been bouncing around projects.... Progress is progress
Well I decided on a blue on white, horus heresy colors for my beserkers. White is not the most forgiving color.

Paint Recipe for white and blue
Using the Forge World Pre Heresey paint scheme. Don't have on hand. Will add soon
Many of these models were painted already, I stripped them and used a white primer to reclaim the Bezerkers from my collection. It worked surprisingly well.
Body: Started with multiple blue ink wash over recesses and coats of white on the bodies with Silver trim.
Power Packs and Shoulder Pads will be Blue.

Painting layers of white is literally watching paint dry..
Learning quickly that a squad of fiveteen is too many to attempt at once, so i will be painting in squads of eight to ten.

Pushed myself a little to late into the night, coz I had started magnatizing and hinging the tanks.

Put some hinges on the second rhino glad i did a dry test fitting...
Managed to grab the wrong top hatch.... catastrophe averted ... untill i glued it shut.

Been working on a number of builds and paint sequences at once.
Work is split between painting and stripping models the progress is slow, but at the current rate Ii figure another week.

Worked on the Khorne Bezerkers and finally took the time to add some powerpacks and right sholder pads.
Not much painting on them, they were dabbed with black over the rivets..
Not pleased at all with the look of the black rivets, they make it look too dalmaition like.. I must fix this by adding a more layers of white paint, guess i made the right choice and riveted during a base coat.

Had to break up the endlesss white paint. and did some builds.
1. Painted some DE whyches and DV cultists.
2. In tribute to 20th aniversery of Jurassic Park i sculpted a Velociraptor to use as a test for Ymargul Genestealer brood.

While working on the Khorne Beserker army, im gonna working on a smaller side project for the 1500pts Vetern Games night at Jesters Cap the FLGS.
Any thoughts on the list, please let me know your comments!? The local meta is CSM: 1 helldrake Oblit lists, Eldar: new codex jitters "spam", and a handful of everything else. DE, Demons, IG

I need some help with the last 253 points for this list, I am open for all suggestions but realize I will struggle with any mech armies and AV13, 14.
Also if my opponents focus on destroying the forgefiends I could lose quickly if they are destroyed.

I have tried the following to fill in the 253 points. Each had benefits and fall backs and these units usually were removed from the table before the rest of my army. The above portion of the army is very resilent.

1) Daemon Prince - Power Armour, wings, MoT, Black Mace,

2) Hellbrute - multimelta and missle launcher
and Chaos Marine Bikers with MoN and melta guns. T6 with melta yo!

3) Obliterators MoN
and CSM MoN melta bikers

4) 5x Chaos marines in a Rhino
or 5X Noise Marines with Blast Master in Rhino for last ditch objective grabbing and fire superiority. This list doesnt have much mobility when it comes to grabbing objectives.

Well its been awhile since ive made progress and havent acomplished much.

Spent some time working on the Khorne Land Raiders..
Kinda just relalized that I forgot the other land raider has been swimming in stripping jar for the past weekish. (after this I still forgot the land raider was in there for a monthish)
Even though I have some magnetifying and hinging left on the LR I commenced painting it. The second LR stilll needs some rebuilding.

This month I really want to
1) Khorne Bezerkers - assemble and prime (aiming for at least x20 with chain axes)
12x Built and primed
2) Emporers Children - assemble and prime
3 Psuedo Built with no prime
3) Noise Marines - assemble but need to finsih the list first
6 Built with no prime
4) Detail the hull... outa the vehicles
Repaired a few breaks, but made a trade for some skulls
5) Forgefiend 2x and Heldrakes
Forgefiend 1 dropped -> fixed, Forgefiend 2 attempted to magnatize and broke the hades autocannons

& on an unreleated note, looks like main memory card is corrupt leaving me with the spare that holds only 7 pics.

Been awhile since I had the motivation to paint....

Love the conversions. That eagle on the land raider has got to go... consider me subscirbed

Thank you for taking the time to look, I have been very busy with work and my online courses.
It doesn't look like much but, there are a lot of hours put into these models. It feels like I am making progress, slowly but moving forward nonetheless.


@ TheWarmaster'sRevenge : Good catch, sir, I had not noticed that I left the Aquilas on the Land Raider.

To start I have some random posts of my beginning of a grot / gretchin army with Lobbas , zappas and Shootas.
Finally the Tyranid hive fleet is taking shape stripped the models and am slowly rebuilding them. I have a bunch primed white and base coated clay red with ruddy brown..
Thinking behemoth hive fleet red and blue and glow under black lights. Saw someone working on this, awhile ago... The attempt is to emulate sea anemones and there transition of dynamic translucent colors.

The Khorne Force is expanding and taking shape. Doesn't look like much has been done but the army it is growing.
Have about 24 built and in painting stage, another 24 on the build, Plan is 20 of each of the four body types if I ever get these done....
I have been realized the uselessness of plasma pistols and have moved to the power lance, power fist combo for my bezerkers.. Its lethal and looks mad sick.
The land raider received some paint, the other came out of the chemical soup.

The noise marines are at a standstill, they need to be play tested more.. Sticking with the proxies for now as I change the list all the time.

Been working on two things now that summer is in full swing and I have some free time.

Battle Board and Terrian for when my buddy comes home on leave, my bad but no pictures of my battle board but there is flock everywhere.

The plan is to set aside some time over the Independence Day holiday weekend and paint.
1) Bezerkers: build another squad, & paint some silver edges
2) Noise Marines: 1247pts assembled but need xtra addon bits to break up the monatany
3) Tyranid Hive Fleet: assemble the ole nid "puzzle box o' fun", 100+ fully disassembled models in a shoe box
4) Dark Eldar: ugghhh in dire need of a few painted models ... gonna throw a handfull in the painting circuit

Today I dug out the Tyranids and built a lot.. I feel bad skipping an opourtunnity to get a pick up game at the FLGS, but I have been waiting ten weeks for this moment.
It doesn't look like much, but attempting to rebuild 100+ nids in a shoe box was hella fun!!!
I rather enjoyed just being able to grab a piece and glue it, set it down grab n glue another piece.
There was just so many different things to build Termigaunts, Hormagaunts, Zoanthrope, Genestealers, Carnifexs, Hive Tyrant that it sucked me in for eight hours.

I am concerned, looking at these models I see alot of paint buildup and am very worried they will be ruined during priming.
50/50 on if It was worth it to strip these models... Just gonna keep telling myself its worth it.

Should I soak these for another few weeks?
Please let me know if these look out of focus, been looking at stuff up close for so long I cannot see everything is blurry.
excuse the mess and disorganized model arrangement, been building the cabinet, and gluing flock to my board the last few days and havent set enough time aside to clean.

..Not only am I missing a couple arms, looks like I managed to not crop out the arms I did attach.
