This is the first of my guidians for my eldar army, CC welcome! and any advice on how to best paint a smooth white would be great too. Thoughts on the colour scheme?

Hey, I like it

The colour scheme works well, although the highlights are a little bright. You could try toning them down with a green wash of some kind. As for white, well its not the easiest colour to paint thats for sure.

You could always try this though http://fromthewarp.blogspot.co.uk/2011/12/white-scars-and-how-to-paint-white.html

And good luck!

Easiest way to get a smooth white is just to rattle can the model white.

Looks like a striking scorpion to me but I like it to be honest

I like the colors. The only thing I would suggest is what spears already said. Spray the helmets white, it'll save you a ton of work.
