A few months ago I e-mailed Sega asking if they'd be putting the Space Marine Chaos Invasion and Dreadnought Assault DLC back up on the XBL Marketplace so I could get the rest of the achievements, I received this e-mail earlier today:

Vincent - SEGA, Apr 16 12:01 (BST):
Dear Customer,

Unfortunately, we currently do not have access to the tools required to sort this issue out for you. We are currently working closely with Relic to get these tools in place as quickly as possible.

We will let you know as soon as we have the ability to assist you.

We apologise for any inconvenience during this transition and greatly appreciate your patience.

Kind Regards,

SEGA Support

So it looks like after their takeover of Relic they haven't forgotten about 40k completely, we can speculate about what this may mean for future titles, but for those of us who didn't get all the Space Marine DLC, we are not forgotten.
Great news I think.

Ah good, I wanted to get that DLC, never knew it had been taken down though!

Is the multi player mode still glitchy in that it freezes from time to time? I haven't played on the game for ages but I hope they have fixed it by now..

Indeed, Space Marine was one of the few games that I ever played online, mainly because I didn't die in the first second of playing!

Sega as a company is almost dead. They already shut down the US, Most of Europe ( if not all of the Europe offices) and Australia.

Good luck with you getting stuff if it happens.

Also, how does one apply to be a member of the Ultramodrines? Are harsh trials involved, ones that would test my faith as a wargamer and resolve as a geek?

Huh, pretty sure SEGA is doing fine.

Besides they hold all our hopes for any warhammer game so we best believe they are doing fine.

It's just a shame all the DLC requires a multiplayer community to enjoy, which you definitely won't find on consoles.

SRM how do you mean? In terms of communicating with, or finding other players? If so they have (or had) a FB page. Once you meet someone just add them to your friends list.

Honestly I have been having a much easier time getting non laggy matches recently than I did closer to launch

People who stopped buying GW but wont stop bitching about it are the vegans of warhammer

There's actually a few players I'd end up playing every night when I would go on XBL, we had rivalries going on.

You can find people playing but simply not with the DLC (at least you could a month ago when I last played). They made the stupid decision to fracture the already small community with paid DLCs that pool people into different matchmaking groups.

I also have friends that are still in the industry that I have known since 1979. Sega is trying to re invent itself, but I am not sure if they are going to be what they were a few years ago.

I signed up just to let you know, there is a website for Space Marine.. But I'm not sure if the rules of this forum would allow me to share it. But I'll check out the rules, then let you know

I foolishly purchased the multiplayer DLC. There's a decent amount of people playing the online multiplayer, but not the DLC stuff. Absolutely nobody plays the DLC. Kind of annoying.

The horde coop mode (can't recall the name) had a decent following in the game's inital release period plus 8 months or so but the multiplayer dlc maps were always underpopulated. Splitting the player base is never a good idea for a moderately popular game like space marine. It might work for the super mega sellers like COD/BF3/Halo but not the second tier sales.

Horde coop was called exterminatus.

The game was decently fun for awhile but I don't see it ever being rekindled with any amount of dlc...would love for the sequel of the game to be more open and dynamic than the first.

I'd say that focusing on just their "core" series was what lead them into this mess. They shoved Valkyria Chronicles out the door with nary any advertising and then acted like it was an embarassment when it became a cult hit. SEGA has a real bad habit of ignoring their good games while marketing the hell out of their stinkers.
