Deathwing Knights I commissioned to a local player and all around good painter. Tabletop Quality, $10 per terminator. Missing a left shoulder from one of them, forgot about it when I gave him the models.
What does Dakkadakka think?

The models aren't terrible, and I realize you only charged $60 for all six models to be painted, but this seems a bit below tabletop. At least by my standards and other models that I've seen of "tabletop quality". Maybe it's the quality of the pictures, but it just looks like you base coated and then drybrushed the models. The faces aren't even painted; not a lick of skin-toned paint. And you forgot to glue on one of the shoulder pads? I don't mean to sound like a jerk or anything, but if I had made this commission I would be a little disappointed with the results.
Just a suggestion, but even if you are going to charge a low price for the commission, at least put in the tiny little bit of extra effort it takes to put some skin tone on the faces, throw a wash on, and make sure the models are assembled properly. It just comes off as a bit lazy otherwise. I don't mean to sound like a jerk or dishearten you or anything, just being honest.

Except they are my Knights, that I gave to somebody else to be painted, I stated I didn't want the faces painted, I forgot to glue the shoulder pad before I gave HIM the models to be painted, the picture is Crap considering I don't have the most steady hands, hence why I cannot do my own painting also flash was on, so the unpainted faces are more prominent, in natural light they look like they are just simply blacked out by the hoods. The quality is lost in the blurriness of the photo. black primer, with a brown base coat on the bone white bits, followed by a drybrush, then highlight, black had a second coat of gray drybrushed to reduce the dullness of the black. The green is a total of 3 layers including primer.

I would say they are not tabletop quality yet, but they are a good start. Your painter hasn't done a bad job, he has given you what you asked and paid for. Some simple touching up will finish them off to table top level; most importantly, paint the faces. I wouldn't worry about the eyes, especially if you just want them finished, but people are usually drawn to the face of a miniature. These look neat but unfinished.

Ah I misinterpreted. I assumed that these were your commission job since you usually don't see people post items they received in commissions. Rather, you see people's models that they painted for someone. Regardless, as the poster above me mentioned, the models look unfinished. Why would you not want the faces painted, just out of curiosity? Also, I mentioned in my post that some of it could be the photo's quality, but I definitely think it's not just the photo. The commissioner may have done those steps, but the fact is, to me, it doesn't show on the finished models. The greens and bone may be layered and highlighted, but they don't look it to me.
To each their own, I suppose. If you're happy with them, that's all that matters.
