What do you call it when Phoenix fly together? There's a murder of crows, a parliment of rooks, but I'd like to think that the correct term would be a BLAZE of Phoenixes! So I present to you my Blaze of Phoenixes.

Those birds are sick in the most awesome way possible, almost makes me want to start my high elf army again, almost.

I, too, would like to know your masking technique. I've tried all sorts and it never seems to work the way I want it to!

The flaming phoenix, especially, is gorgeous. If the GW Studio version had been that pretty, I might actually have thought it was a nice model.

I think those wings are painted as separate parts, no need for clever masking.

Wow they are truly amazing, so much so that I want to paint one of each myself. Much much better than the GW versions.

uhhh unless you're talking about the paintjob....

Also, they look very nice, although the sculpt of the ice phoenix looks pretty lame, considering how big and goofy the snowflakes on the wings are.

Winterdyne; you are correct. The flame and fire come with different ends to their feathers. I simply painted them separately.

Those paintjobs are incredible.
