If the trembling earth sends fear into the hearts of enemy to steal their will to fight, know it is the CHOCOBO CAVALRY who come!

This is my first serious sculpting project, as i sculpted the chocobo mount and heavily converted Monique riding it. The painting was made without airbrushing. Just wanted to remember those old-good teenage times, when i played Final Fantasy series =)
you can vote on CMON if you liked the piece

Beautiful work on the painting, the blending is exquisite and the patterning on the fabric is splendid. The base is well executed between the blossoming tree and the grass. What did you use for the grass by the way, it seems fuller than just static grass? The sculpting is top notch, very nice work on the feathers and fabric. My only gripe on this fabulous model is the banner on the lance... It seems a bit too thick (it is as thick as the shaft as the lance in the top down view).

You say that I am crazy. I say that you are right!

Wow, that's incredible.

I'm not sure about the title though - it doesn't look like she's charging. She's leaning too far back, and so couldn't put the maximum force into her lance impact

Given the insane basing on top of the ridiculous paint job, this is by far the greatest display piece I've ever seen.

Thank you everyone. The base made with ordinary armypainter static grass.
of course there are lots of sculpting flaws here, but i wanted that mini to be a chocobo knight, not any other. and Monique made of metal, sadly, so i got serious problems even sawing her legs off - i tried not to think about other small reposings that i simply afraid ti do.
so she`s look as she`s look, no more, no less. Hope chocobo 2.0 will be more dynamic and, mmm, slender, when i get my hand to do it =)

Your painting is amazing, and your skill as a sculptor is superb. Personally, I think chocobos are a little silly, and so this isn't my personal cup of tea. That being said, it's a great looking piece. You are incredibly skilled, and I can't wait to see the other sculpts that you produce in the future!

That tree is awesome, by the way? Did you make it yourself? If so, how? If you got it from somewhere, could you tell us where it came from?

Thanks!
the tree is partially sculpted, partially from a real tree. i used old blooming tree (don`t remember the manufacturer) than i got around in my bits for the last 6-7 years to do the leaves

Reminded me of the cool covers from Dragon magazine that I loved every month when I was a kid. This is absolutely fantastic work on all levels. Thank you for sharing.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.
