Ok guys, I got bored of my catachans so I'm starting a new IG army. These guys come from a mining planet and are expert urban and night fighters. I'm basing them on cadian models but with gs gas masks. I got a free trooper from a buddy, but I'm still looking for more grunts right now. The tank has been converted quite a bit and now has an hk missile, dozer blade, lascannon, and heavy flamers,as well as a small machine spirit shrine. Hope you guys like, if you do, I might make a PM blog.

The scheme is a little dark. I like dirty minis, but I think these could use some edge highlights to brighten them up a bit and make them look less flat.

will do. I was going for a really dirty look though because they are in the mines and tunnels all the time, as well as trying to camouflage themselves from the enemy in those conditions. But I will try some edge highlights and chipping effect

I really like the look ofthe trooper, the dark colours makes me want to use that scheme for my DUNE themed IG army.

A suggestion is that the collar of the shirt on the trooper looks like it was unfinished in its painting process. It may be part of a camouflage pattern, but something needs to be done to break that up then.
I also agree on the chipping effect, that would really help.
Additionally, the grenade should not be the same colour as the pants. Maybe traditional olive would look good and fit the theme.

The gas mask hose doesn't connect to anything. I'd definitely fix that. Thankfully, the fuel tanks for flamers are cheap and you likely already have several.

Chop down the knob thing on the back of the armor, cut a cadian flamer tank thing in half (into two separate tanks), clean them off so that they're basically just the tank and the support bands and glue it onto the back. Connect the hose to the tank, and that's it. Not a TERRIBLY difficult conversion, and it would probably add a lot to the model.

Trimmed vox-casters from either cadian or even better, Catachan could do the same trick. If you do not want to attach any sort of backpack, take that little back thing and cut some air filter grates in it, bulk it up, and clearly attach the hose to it.
