No witty thread name today, sorry.

Dunno why I never stuck anything up here before, but let's kick this off with... well, a story.

On monday, i was dorking around with some MDF terrain that i picked up off the net. I made a hash of assembly by doing some sanding when I really really didn't need to, so I spent some time airbrushing over all the nasty gouges and scratches to make them look like weathering and damage.

Around 8:30pm, I suddenly remembered that I had signed up for the Force Z tournament this weekend, that I had not submitted a list or even given it any thought. Cue panic, and a frantic 45 minutes where I looked at my minis and threw together a list, using Tau since I felt I had a better chance of fielding painted models that way.

My list is low on miniatures, and some of them are already painted (from like, a year ago, when I was a totally newbish amateur and didn't know what I was doing), giving me a colour scheme to work from. But there was still a lot of stuff that was still grey. Like... 5 crisis suits, some characters, and a couple of drones and gunships.

So I grabbed my airbrush (which im also not much good with), and got started.

Quality isnt so great really, but given the timeframe I have to work with, "good enough" will just have to do.

So many games, so little time.

So many models, even less time.

Screw it, Netflix and chill.

Managed to get the army fully finished as of 10pm saturday night, and got it all packed up and ready to drive out to the tournament at 7:30 the following morning.

Phew.

Fire Warriors were already done - like.. a year ago. First models I painted since I quit the hobby in 2001. Thats why they're so s**t. The Kroot aren't my paintjob either.
